In India, a wedding is the most special milestone, and it changes the lives of both men and women. From mehendi to haldi, every pre-wedding ritual holds importance and prepares a couple for an eternity of togetherness. While in the modern world, weddings are all about fancy clothes and dancing till dawn, some choose to follow the age-old Sanatani rituals and pay their immense gratitude to God for uniting them.
We stumbled on one black woman's wedding festivities, who is a Krishna devotee, and her Hindu Santani wedding was no less than dev-milan. Check out as we decode the bride's pre-wedding looks that simply won our hearts!
Every Hindu wedding starts with God's aashirwad. While some chose to host Mata ki Chowki, some take blessings through kirtan or path. All in all, it is a way to seek God's presence on the most special life-turning moment before the big day. The bride of the week, Syama, is a deity cosmetologist and Krishna bhakt. Just before her Hindu Santani wedding, she took blessings of Krishna with a kirtan organised by ISCON devotees.
For the celebrations, the black woman wore a gorgeous white-hued lehenga. Her outfit featured a heavy lehenga skirt, which was teamed with a sheered-sleeve choli, and a sheer dupatta. She styled her dupatta as a saree draped over her one-shoulder. She looked like the quintessential Indian bride in a sleek diamond neckpiece, matching earrings and a nath.
Talking about her makeup, she opted for subtle tones with soft eyes and Krishan teeka on her forehead that accentuated her regal look. For the hair, she styled her dark black locks in a half-open hairstyle and adorned it with pretty pink flowers. It wouldn't be wrong to say that she looked just like Radha-rani.

Talking about the bride, Syama's haldi ceremony, she wore a beautiful yellow-toned anarkali.
The bride styled it with a real flower dupatta, featuring white mogra flowers and a gendha phool border. She accessorised her look with real flower jewellery, a choker neckpiece, matching jhumkas and a maanthpatti. Subtle makeup and hair tied up in a bun made her look complete. The haldi ceremony was completed in the presence of Radha-Krishna.
