Blackpink Makes A Grand Comeback With Their Latest Release, 'Jump', Post Three-Year Group Hiatus

Blackpink, the most popular K-pop girl group, consisting of four members, Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa, has recently made a bang in 2025, after a three-year-long group hiatus. The group released its last music in 2023, for the video game, Blackpink The Game. However, over these three years, each member of the group has pursued their individual careers. With the new music’s release on July 11, 2025, Blackpink’s fans are already in a frenzy. The project is a collaboration between Blackpink and global stars including TEDDY, Diplo, Zikai, Claudia Valentina, and Jesse Bluu.

Blackpink releases new song, Jump, after a three-year-long hiatus

Blackpink made a grand comeback with their latest single, Jump, on July 11, 2025. The project has been marked as a huge milestone, as each member of the group has come together after a three-year-long gap. For the unversed, during these three years, Jennie made her Hollywood debut with the TV series, The Idol in 2022, Rose and Lisa gave chart-topping solo hits, and Jisoo continued to rise in her acting career. Blackpink’s latest release has made its live debut during their massive world tour, DEADLINE.

For the uninitiated, Blackpink’s world tour, DEADLINE, kicked off in South Korea’s Goyang on July 5, 2025 and will conclude in Hong Kong on January 25, 2026. Blackpink’s latest album has been a collaboration between Blackpink and YG producer, Teddy Park, American DJ Diplo, Swedish-Chinese artist, Zikai, and rising songwriters, Claudia Valentina and Jesse Bluu. The project was produced by Diplo, 24, Boaz Van De Beatz, Zecca and Ape Drums.

Blackpink's fans showered love on the latest release

Soon after Blackpink released the new song, Jump on YouTube, fans showered love on the latest collaboration. Lauding every member of the group, a fan wrote, "You know how every Blackpink comeback, fans usually point out who shined the most each era? But this time feels different, it’s like they all brought their own light, no one outshone the other. Maybe it’s because we’ve grown used to seeing them solo these past few years, so now, seeing them together again, it just hits differently." Sharing how the girls gave so much effort to the recent collaboration, a fan wrote, "JUMP is a new version of BLACKPINK, it's obvious that the comeback will bring all the personalities that the girls worked on in their solo careers.
