Divorce rumours in Hollywood are as common as red carpet appearances. Every day, you might see news reports claiming that some celebrity couple's marriage is not on the rocks, like how others have broken up. These alleged reports go viral, but not all of them turn out to be true. One such couple who faced a similar ordeal recently was none other than Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. For the past few months, there was strong online chatter about trouble in their paradise, but now Blake himself has broken his silence to directly address the matter.
Popular country music star, Blake Shelton recently addressed the ongoing gossip about his marital issues while co-hosting Country Countdown USA on January 10, 2026. According to People, he directly put an end to the claims that he and Stefani are heading for a divorce. Sharing how he has been viewing consistently fake buzz, Gwen said:
"I started noticing these articles popping up about 'Blake and Gwen, they're split up,' 'They're not even seeing each other anymore; they're going through a divorce. And then, a week later, a picture comes out of us walking out of the grocery store, 'Oh, they're back together again!'"

Furthermore, Blake mocked the media's tendency to change its narrative about his marriage based on whether paparazzi caught them together or not. The country singer also highlighted the rise in the use of fake and manipulated images on the internet, which can be used to mislead people. He mentioned that he was surprised to see how realistic the fabricated images appeared at a glance. In his words:
"I see pictures of Gwen and me on social media that I really go, 'That looks so real.' But I know I don't even own that shirt, or 'Whose car is that? I don't believe anything anymore that I see on the internet."

Blake's comments follow Stefani's subtle act, wherein she shut down the fake rumours on social media. For those unaware, the singer had shared a special video on New Year's Eve, in which the couple was seen kissing each other as they welcomed 2026. According to sources close to People, the couple simply spends time apart due to their demanding work, tours, and scheduled performances; they are not frequently seen together.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani's relationship began in 2015, when they both served as coaches on The Voice. Coincidentally, both of them were going through highly publicised divorces during the same period, as Blake separated from Miranda Lambert and Stefani parted ways with Gavin Rossdale. Therefore, they bonded over the similarities in their situations and shared heartbreak made them fall in love. The couple officially confirmed their relationship in November 2015, and they made their first red-carpet debut at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in 2016. Since then,, the couple has collaborated on several hit songs, including Go Ahead, Break My Heart, Nobody But You, and Happy Anywhere. Finally, they tied the knot on July 3, 2021, in a private ceremony officiated by their friend and The Voice host, Carson Daly.
