Bobby Deol made his acting debut back in 1995 with the film, Barsaat, in which the name of his character was 'Badal'. The film was a hit, and Bobby won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. What followed was a rollercoaster ride of hit-and-flop films. The nine years from 2004 to 2013 were the darkest phase of Bobby's career, as his films weren't performing well at the box office. However, it was in 2018 when the actor was seen in Race 3, and although the film wasn't a success as per critics, it was the sixth-highest-earning film of 2018.
The audience appreciated Bobby Deol's physical transformation for Race 3, but it was still far from a comeback. However, Salman Khan's kind gesture to offer a role to Bobby in Race 3 did play a significant role in rejuvenating the latter's acting career, as it was after Race 3 that Bobby got the opportunity to work in Housefull 4, which was also a commercial success.

Despite being a part of two blockbuster films like, Race 3 and Housefull 4, Bobby Deol was still looking for a solo movie in which he could showcase his acting prowess. The opportunity came from Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment in the name of the Class of '83. Although the movie wasn't a major hit on the streaming platform, it achieved the goal of showing Bobby's unexplored, intense side, which was fresh and unique.
If Salman Khan was the one, who penned the first letter of Bobby Deol's comeback story, it was critically acclaimed director, Prakash Jha, who presented the first high-note in the actor's comeback arc. The director casted Bobby in the role of a corrupt godman named 'Baba Nirala/Monty Singh' in his web series titled Aashram. Prakash Jha and Bobby Deol have made three successful seasons of Aashram so far, and if the reports are to be believed, the fourth season will come out in 2024. Over the years, we have seen many actors and actresses making a successful acting comeback. But the reason why people are calling Bobby's comeback the best in history goes to the way Sandeep Reddy Vanga has explored and presented him in the film, Animal.
The director behind films like Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has made Bobby one of the best negative actors in the country by working especially on his physique.
So today, we are going to talk about Bobby's exceptional physique in the film, Animal and how he managed to achieve it in just four months. So, without further ado, let's get into Bobby's physical transformation journey!
The physical transformation has played a major role in Bobby Deol's comeback. However, the physique he had made for Race 3 differs from the one Sandeep Reddy Vanga wanted Bobby to have in Animal. Hence, he told Bobby to undergo specific physical training to make his physique look broader and more significant.
As per Bobby's trainer, Prajwal, the director instructed him to work with Bobby to make his chest broader to look more prominent in front of Ranbir. As per the trainer, he designed a workout routine as per the director's queue, and all credit goes to Bobby for never showing his back to the routines. The actor trained as per Prajwal's instructions and gave more than 100 percent in training and diet.
Bobby Deol's trainer, Prajwal revealed in an interview with an online news website that the actor reduced his fat percentage to 12, which clearly speaks everything about the physical training he went through. The actor's weight also fluctuated between 85 and 90, and a lot of its credit goes to the 40-minute high-intensity cardio that Bobby used to do twice daily in the morning and evening.

Despite being a Punjabi, Bobby Deol isn't a big foodie, as per his fitness trainer, Prajwal, so it was easy for him to follow a strict diet. However, Bobby found staying away from sweets quite challenging, as he loves eating sweets just like almost every Indian.
However, to achieve his monstrous physique in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, Bobby followed a 'no sweets' policy for four months, which played the most important role in his physical transformation.

Talking about Bobby Deol's diet plan, the actor used to have some eggs as soon as he woke up in the morning. After which, for breakfast, he used to have oatmeal. For lunch, Bobby added some rice and chicken to his meal. In the evening, salads were on Bobby's diet, and for dinner, the actor once again used to have fish or chicken. The diet was planned in a way that it used to incorporate a mix of carbohydrates, proteins and fats.
Bobby Deol's intense workout training sessions were divided into cardio, weight training and functional training. While both cardio and weight helped him attain the physique, functional training played a vital role in his physical transformation. Despite having such a muscular physique, Bobby's flexibility and coordination in his movements in the films have enhanced his overall personality.
