Time and again, Bobby Deol has proved that in addition to stealing hearts, he is a versatile actor, who can slip into the skin of characters and win us over. With back-to-back hit movies and web series, Bobby has found a new generation of fans. He had followed in the footsteps of his father, Dharmendra and big brother, Sunny Deol and had entered Bollywood. With his debut movie, Barsaat in 2005, he had become an overnight sensation and a heartthrob of many girls.
However, Bobby had met with the woman of his dreams, Tania Ahuja Deol, at a restaurant. It was love at first sight for the Race 3 actor. The couple had walked down the aisle in a dreamy wedding in 1996. After six years of married life, the madly-in-love couple had welcomed their first baby, Aryaman in 2002 and their second munchkin, Dharam in 2004. Interestingly, Dharam was named after his adorable grandfather Dharmendra, and it had melted many hearts.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Bobby was asked the real reason behind marrying at such an early age. He was also quizzed if he had been intimated by people’s opinions in the 90s, who used to ask heroes and heroines to hide their marital status to become successful in Bollywood. Answering this, Bobby mentioned that he shares a huge age gap with his elder brother, Sunny Deol and his father, Dharmendra, and because of this he finds it difficult to be candid with them. Hence, he did not want the same thing to happen with his own children. Talking about the same, Bobby revealed this is why he had wanted to have kids soon after his marriage to his wife, Tanya Deol. In his words:
“It was never like that. I never believed in all that. I wanted to start a family. I wanted to not be very old when I had my kids. I wanted to grow up with them. I wanted to be their friend. Because I'm the youngest in my family and the age difference between me and my elder brother is quite a bit. My dad is quite older than me in the sense that I wanted to be close to my father and I just couldn't I used to miss that.”
Further in the interview, Bobby Deol was asked how his children, Aryaman and Dharam had stood beside him when he did not have work and used to stay inside the house all the time while their mother, Tanya, their grandfather, Dharmendra and their uncle, Sunny went to work. “See my kids were very small at that point when I was doing through the worst phase of my life and they were so naive I mean they are still naive and innocent but at that, I mean they were so young. They would notice things around the house that grandfather, Uncle is working, the mother is working but the father is always home. They were happy I was always there and I got a lot of time to spend with them. But they still would wonder ‘Why is papa home. Why doesn't he go to work?”

In the same conversation, Bobby mentioned that he did not want to set a bad example for his children by sitting idle at home. So he had tried very hard to get work and move past the toughest phase of his life. He had also taught his children to never give up and believe in themselves. Bobby can be quoted as saying:
“And when I heard them say that I didn't wanna set a bad example for them because my dad has always been working and my brother he's a big star and I just wanted to not set an example which would make them not believe in themselves. I wanted to make them feel that you have to believe in yourself because no matter how much your family loves you It's you yourself who has to do something to move forward.”
On the work front, Bobby Deol was last seen in the OTT film, Love Hostel.
