Bobby Deol is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. The actor made his debut with the film, Barsaat in 1975. Later, he was seen in movies like Badal, Bichhoo, Ajnabee, and Humraaz, among many others. However, for the past few months, Bobby has been grabbing a lot of limelight, as he recently made his comeback with the movie, Animal. The movie has already crossed Rs. 356 crores at the global box office on the fourth day of its release. For the unversed, in the movie, Bobby played the part of the antagonist, 'Abrar Haque'. Recently, he has opened up about the same.
There's no denying the fact that from his jaw-dropping physical transformation and top-notch action skills to his entry in the movie after the interval with an old Indian track, Jamaal Jamaaloo, everything kept the audience entertained. However, compared to the length of the movie, Bobby had very little screen timing in Sandeep Reddy's movie. And now, Bobby has reacted to the same.
In an interview with the PTI, Bobby Deol was asked about his short screen time in the movie, Animal. Talking about the same, he said that he really wishes he could have more screen time. Bobby further added that when he was signing the film, he was aware that he would have less screen time, but he was really grateful to God for the fact that he received a film offer from Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The actor also added that he was quite sure that he would be noticed in the film, but he never thought of receiving this much love from the audience. Bobby said:
"I wish I had more secens, but when I signed the film, I knew this is what I had. At that point in my life, I was grateful to God that I was given this chance to play this role by Sandeep. I knew I had only 15 days of work and wouldn’t be there throughout the film. I was sure people would notice me, but I never realized that there will be so much love, appreciation and affection. It’s like wow! It’s amazing."
Bobby Deol has revealed that he had only 15 days of work in Animal. However, did you know that to do a scene using sign language, Bobby had to study for one month? Yes! You read it right. For the unversed, Bobby played the role of a mute antagonist, while Ranbir's character, 'Vijay Balbir Singh' at a point in the movie got deaf because of a heavily loaded action. However, Bobby could be seen using some sign language. Talking about the same in an interview with the IANS, Bobby stated that he was shocked at the beginning when he was told he would have no lines in the movie. Speaking along the same lines, he mentioned that he had to learn sign language for one month to act in the film. Bobby said:
"I was unsure of how to approach it, but that made it more thrilling and difficult for me. I studied sign language for a month, and it was quite beneficial."
Bobby Deol surely did a wonderful job in the movie, Animal, and people cannot stop praising him, as is the case with Bobby's papa, Dharmendra. Taking to his IG handle, Dharmendra dropped a photo of his son and praised him with a short yet meaningful caption. He wrote:
"My, Talented Bob."
