Arshad Warsi has been hogging all the limelight ever since he had an interaction with Samdish Bhatia on his YouTube talk show, Unfiltered by Samdish. During the conversation, the 56-year-old talked about his professional front and revealed how Boney Kapoor's production company short-changed him. Moreover, he also took a jibe at Prabhas' performance in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD.
After Arshad's statement, the eminent film producer, Boney Kapoor, addressed the incident. While speaking to Bollywood Hungama, he laughed off the claim and shared that the song was shot in 1992. He also mentioned that Arshad wasn't a star back at that time, so paying him such a big amount was out of the question. Boney Kapoor said:

"I read his statement and found it amusing. This happened in 1992, and he’s bringing it up now. At that time, he was not a star; who would have paid him such a huge amount?'
The producer further explained that the shoot was initially planned for four days, and Pankaj Parashar directed it. However, the latter completed the shoot within three days instead of four. Moreover, Boney Kapoor revealed that the production was looked after by Tutu Sharma, Padmini Kolhapure’s husband, and shared that he didn't even remember this instance until now.
In the same conversation, Boney mentioned that Arshad was paid per day, and there was no agreement to pay him a certain amount. Moreover, the producer disclosed that Arshad Warsi never talked about this incident with him despite working together on a TV show. Boney was quoted as saying:
"I didn’t even remember this episode. He was paid Rs 25,000 per day. Hence, he was paid Rs 75,000 for three days. We were a part of a TV show together. Malaika Arora and Farah Khan were also a part of it. He never mentioned it, and now, suddenly, he talks about it. Everybody wants media attention now, and I am a soft target."
Prior to acting, Arshad Warsi was an assistant director and choreographer. During his interaction with Samdish, he revealed an incident in which Boney Kapoor's production company short-changed him. While discussing the payment gap between A-list celebrities and everybody else, Arshad shared that he was hired as a choreographer for the 1993 film, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, which stars Sridevi and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles.

After he was signed for the film, a production person asked Arshad about his remuneration. He clearly mentioned that he would charge Rs.1 lakh. He also discussed needing at least four days to complete the choreography. However, he was given three days. Sharing that he thought the production team would be happy with this feat, Arshad revealed:
"A production guy asked me how much I’ll charge, and I told him Rs 1 lakh is my going rate. He asked me how long I’ll take, and I told him four days at the very least. He requested me to finish the song sooner, because shooting for four days would increase costs. I told him I’ll try my best, and we worked very hard to get the song done, but we finished in three days. I thought that the production would be happy."
Despite saving one day's cost for the production team, Arshad was paid less than his quoted amount, which was Rs. 1 lakh. He recalled that the production guys had told him that if he had worked for four days instead of three, then he would have got his quoted amount. Revealing that Boney Kapoor might not know about this incident, Arshad said:
"I went to get my cheque, and they gave me Rs 75,000. I said, ‘I just saved you an entire day’s shoot, you should pay me more!’ He said, ‘No, for four days it’s Rs 1 lakh, and for three days it’s Rs 75,000’ I don’t think Boney Kapoor knows about it also."
