Boney Kapoor has wowed the world with his jaw-dropping transformation. His hair and weight loss journey has been the talk of the town, and everyone is intrigued by what inspired him to make such a drastic change. The producer has made unbelievable changes to his physique, and his inspiration was none other than his late wife.
Boney Kapoor has worked on himself, and it shows. The producer looked quite different in his recent pictures and recently revealed what motivated him to lose weight. He revealed that his late wife and actress, Sridevi, constantly told him to lose weight. Boney was seen talking to ABP when he revealed that his wife asked him to lose weight before doing anything with his hair, so he did. He was quoted saying:
"I was remembering what my wife (Sridevi) had told me. She had said that if you want to do something with your hair, then first lose weight. So I lost weight."
Boney revealed despite Sridevi's concerns, his decision to lose weight was comparatively recent. He added that he made up his mind after he appeared on screen in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer portrayed Boney as Ranbir's father while Dimple Kapadia was playing the latter's mother. Talking about his on-screen experience, he revealed that everything apart from him in the frame looked right. He was quoted as:
"I would feel that everything is fine in that frame except me. I looked like lala ji in that frame. I wanted to get rid of the lala ji look."
In the same conversation, Boney Kapoor revealed that his wife, Sridevi, was concerned about his appearance and would ask him to lose weight. He added that the late actress would often point out how good-looking he was when they met. Boney would lightheartedly joke that he has Sridevi now, and if he were still as good-looking, he would attract other women, which he wouldn't want. He stated:
"She would say, 'When I met you, you were slim and trim, tall and good looking and now you have just.' I would tell her, 'After I got you in my life, what more can I ask for? If I become slim and trim then a lot of females would be attracted to me, and I don't want that to happen.' And she would say, 'Yes, yes.'"
Boney Kapoor said that his transformation is a tribute to his late wife, Sridevi. In the same interview, he revealed that he's still in love with the late actress, and while he does get attracted to other females, his love for Sridevi would remain the same. The producer also took the stage to address that he never ever cheated on the actress.
