Durga Pujo holds a special place in the hearts of every Bengali. From countless pandal hopping and gorging on mouth-watering street food to making a style statement every five days of the festivities, everything feels overwhelming to the bongs. Celebrity personalities like Rani Mukerji and Kajol also hail from Bengal, and these beauties are leaving no stone unturned to make the most out of 2022’s Durga Puja.
On the personal front, Kajol is married to non-Bengali superstar, Ajay Devgn, and they have two kids, Nysa Devgan and Yug Devgan. On the other hand, Rani Mukerji is the wife of the famous film director, Aditya Chopra. And they are proud parents to a baby girl named Adira Chopra.

October 3, 2022, marked maha Ashtami of Durga Puja, and on the special day, Kajol and Rani Mukerji were seen posing together in front of Durga maa. In the video, the 90s actresses posed elegantly, donning beige-coloured sarees and looked absolutely beautiful. As Rani smiled while posing for the paps, Kajol called the shutterbugs ‘useless’ because they never click good pictures of her. Kajol’s witty comments would surely leave you in splits. A few moments ago, Kajol took to her IG stories and shared a monochrome picture of her mother and veteran actress, Tanuja, her sister, Tanishaa Mukerji and her doting son, Yug Devgan. In the picture, we can spot an eternally gorgeous idol of the goddess Durga. Moreover, the family of four seemed to enjoy the day to the fullest.

In an interview with the ETimes, Rani Mukerji revealed why the festival of Durga Puja is special to her. She mentioned how the brave stories of maa Durga fighting with Mahishashura had encouraged her since childhood. In her words:
“Maa Durga is a symbol of Shakti, and since childhood, we have grown up listening to stories of her brave battle with Mahishasura. She has always given me strength from within. Durga Puja is an important time for all Bengalis, as this is one festival where we go all out and celebrate. We hang out with our families, eat our hearts out and soak in our culture.”
