Hollywood's elite ex-couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's long custody battle in the court is heading towards the most bitter turn, as their son, Maddox has reportedly decided to drop his father's surname 'Pitt' from his name. The youngster allegedly wanted to make his decision legal and use his mother's surname, Jolie, in the future. The reports are all over the media after Brad's ex-wife, Angelina had accused him of domestic violence a few days ago. It's quite unbelievable for the fans of this ex-couple to witness all these revelations, as no one in their wildest nightmares had thought that one day they'll read the claims of domestic violence from Angelina against Brad. For the unversed, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had decided to tie the knot in August 2014. It was just over two years of their marriage when 'Brangelina' had decided to split in September 2016. Since then, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been involved in court battles regarding their divorce first and now for their children's custody.
According to a US Weekly report, Hollywood superstars, Brad Pitt and his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie's lengthy custody battle has turned toxic after their 19-year-old son, Maddox has testified against his father, which wasn't in the most flattering of manners. A source tells US Weekly that the youngster has decided not to use his father's surname 'Pitt' legally. The source stated, "Maddox has already given testimony as [an] adult in the ongoing custody dispute, and it wasn't very flattering toward Brad." The source also stated that Maddox has already given a short glimpse of his intentions of dropping 'Pitt' from his surname, as he used his mother's surname, 'Jolie', in the documents. The source added, "He doesn't use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren't legal and instead uses Jolie."
In another report in the Mirror, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's daughter, Shiloh had already followed the footsteps of her eldest brother, Maddox as she had also reportedly removed 'Pitt' from her name on her Instagram handle. According to an insider, when Angelina Jolie was asked to reflect on her son, Maddox's alleged decision to not use his father and her ex-husband, Brad Pitt's surname, the doting mother clearly stated that she doesn't support her son's decision to not use his father's surname. The insider stated, "Maddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn't support." A few days ago, according to the reports in HollywoodLife, Angelina Jolie had accused her ex-husband, Brad Pitt of domestic violence. The actress had filed some documents in the court on March 12, 2021, in which she had claimed that she has "proof and authority" to support her allegations of domestic violence against her ex-husband. A source had also told HollywoodLife.com, "This deliberate leak of this information is to no one's benefit and is simply the continuation of an ongoing relentless effort to target and tarnish Brad. Over the past four and a half years since the divorce filing, there has been a never-ending series of allegations, which seem to be solely to elevate one side by taking down the other.
