Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had become 'Brangelina' on the sets of Mr and Mrs Smith. Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston when he had met Angelina, and after dating for ten glorious years, they had decided to tie the knot in August 2014. It was just over two years of their marriage when 'Brangelina' had decided to end their relationship in September 2016. For the uninitiated, Angelina and Brad have been involved in a divorce battle since September 2016.

Angeline Jolie, who is 45 and Brad Pitt, who is 57 are battling for the custody of their minor children, Pax (17), Zahara (16), Shiloh (14), and twins, Knox and Vivienne (12). In their divorce and custody trial, a few days back, Angelina had accused Brad of domestic abuse and had revealed that she has “proof and authority” to support her allegations. Now, a leading portal has shared how Brad Pitt is affected by such claims.
A source close to Brad Pitt shared with Page Six that the actor is “heartbroken” with the claims. The source revealed that Brad has taken the responsibilities of his actions and has owned up to his past, but he is heartbroken that Angelina has taken this route. The source was quoted as saying “Brad is heartbroken that Angelina has gone that route. There’s a lot of emotion left after their marriage. He has taken responsibility for his actions and owned up to his past issues, he’s stopped drinking. The marriage was very passionate and toxic at times and they had fights, but also shared many good times together.”
The source also added that Brad feels devastated by being isolated from his children and thinks that it was a calculated move to change the opinion ahead of the conclusion of the trial. The source further added, “He talked about his drink and drug problems during the time they were together… Brad and his camp has never attacked Angelina. But his camp feels this leak was calculated to sway opinion ahead of the conclusion of their trial. Brad feels like he’s being more and more isolated from his children, and he’s devastated about it.”

For the unversed, according to the reports in HollywoodLife, Angelina Jolie had accused her ex-husband, Brad Pitt of domestic violence. The actress had filed some documents in the court on March 12, 2021, in which she had claimed that she has "proof and authority" to support her allegations of domestic violence against her ex-husband. A source had also told HollywoodLife.com, "This deliberate leak of this information is to no one's benefit and is simply the continuation of an ongoing relentless effort to target and tarnish Brad. Over the past four and a half years since the divorce filing, there has been a never-ending series of allegations, which seem to be solely to elevate one side by taking down the other. Hopefully, some sanity will prevail in the future."

According to a US Weekly report, Brad Pitt and his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie's lengthy custody battle had turned toxic after their 19-year-old son, Maddox had testified against his father, which wasn't in the most flattering of manners. A source had told US Weekly that the youngster had decided not to use his father's surname 'Pitt' legally. The source had stated, "Maddox has already given testimony as [an] adult in the ongoing custody dispute, and it wasn't very flattering toward Brad." The source had also stated that Maddox had already given a short glimpse of his intentions of dropping 'Pitt' from his surname, as he used his mother's surname, 'Jolie', in the documents. The source had added, "He doesn't use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren't legal and instead uses Jolie."
