Back in 2018, Brandi Carlile announced on Instagram that she and Catherine Shepherd had another daughter named Elijah. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Brandi shared a picture of her child at that time. Instead of IVF, the couple decided to take the IUI process this time. The reason for this was Catherine’s struggle with the IVF hormones. Brandi told PEOPLE in 2021 that, like every other parent, she is also worried for her children. Brandi said that her daughters are unaware of the fact that everything is not easy in this world, and that she and Catherine have yet to figure out how to speak to their children about it.
