Bride Wore A Gorgeous Yellow-Hued Nauvari Saree For Her Wedding Day With Unique Statement Jewellery

Since time immemorial, the six-yard piece of elegance with no zip or stitch has been enhancing the beauty of Indian women. A saree is the only staple, which can instantly transform a girl into a woman. In fact, almost every girl has draped her mother's dupatta as a saree and played ghar-ghar when she was young.

However, the most popular is a nauvari saree drape, which is worn by Maharashtrians, especially during the wedding ceremonies. Yes, a Marathi bride has to wear a traditional nauvari saree with a brahmi nath on her wedding day. And we spotted a bride, who had donned a most unique coloured saree for her Maharashtrian wedding.

Meet our bride of the week, Latisha (who is the daughter of MP, Rajan Vachare), who tied the knot with Agriculture Minister, Dada Bhuse's son, Avishkar Bhuse in an intimate wedding in Maharashtra. The gorgeous bride, Latisha ditched the trend of wearing a pretty designer lehenga and had donned a nauvari saree, which is a must-wear staple for a Maharashtrian bride.

Decoding the bride's look

The bride, Latisha had opted for a pretty yellow-hued saree with floral embroidery on the border. She had teamed it with an aqua-coloured blouse and a matching dupatta. She had accentuated her look with jhoomar-style earrings, a brahmi nath, and a matching maang teeka. The bride's makeup artist, Varsha Gidwani had kept her hair half-tied at the back and her look was finished off with subtle makeup, pink lips and a crescent moon bindi.

Bride's parents colour-coordinated their ensemble

The bride's parents, Rajan Vichare and Nandini Rajan Vichare had twinned in matching ensembles. The mother of the bride wore an aqua-blue saree with a contrasting pink blouse. On the other hand, the father of the bride had opted for a matching blue-coloured kurta.
