Indian weddings are famous for their colourful decorations, variety of food, three days long pre-wedding rituals, and gorgeous wedding attires of the bride and groom. Apart from the vibrant celebrations, it is the emotional bond between the two families that makes a wedding so special. And, when it comes to shopping for D-day, every bride-to-be wishes to stun her partner and family by opting for a unique bridal lehenga. It also becomes difficult for the soon-to-be brides to pick the ‘perfect’ lehenga for herself, which suits her personality. At this point comes the ace designers of India, who make sure that the bride steals the show with ease.
Marriage becomes a lot more special when you are getting married to your best friend. And we have stumbled upon one such gorgeous Punjabi bride, who had lived her dream and had tied the knot with her best friend. She had picked a scarlet red tulle kalidar lehenga from Rimple and Harpreet’s designer collection and had looked astonishing.

The bride, Ashna Ubbi had worn a scarlet red tulle kalidar lehenga from Rimple and Harpreet’s bridal couture for her Anand Karaj ceremony. Her lehenga had featured kasab marodi embroidery and resham zardosi work along with sequins, pearls, and crystals. Her wedding attire was adorned with motifs that are derived from vintage Persian carpets and Mughal architecture designs. She had styled her outfit with a sheer tulle veil and had looked stunning. While posting her wedding pictures on her IG handle, Ashna mentioned the most memorable moment of her life. Narrating how she had got the perfect dress for her wedding, she had penned:
“WEDDING DAY - I had no idea what I wanted to look like on my wedding day. For some reason - I never gave my wedding day a single thought. But - as soon as I laid my eyes on this dress, I knew this was MY dress. The traditional embroidery, the bell sleeves, the shade of red - it was everything I could ever imagine in a wedding dress.”
The bride had completed her look with 22k gold choker jewellery and a three-tiered gold pearl necklace. Her exquisite jewellery had included jhumkaas, a sleek nath, a minimalistic maang teeka, and a matha patti. She had also flaunted her red chooda along with golden kaleeras.

A subtle makeup by her makeup artist, Yasmiinee had added an oomph factor to Ashna’s overall look. Her makeup had included soft peachy eye-shadow, defined eyebrows, curled lashes, soft pink blush, and nude lips. In addition, Ashna’s hairstylist, Sonia Singh had tied her hair in a bun and had adorned it with white carnations.
The bride, Ashna Ubbi had married her best friend and long time beau, Chanpreet S. Purba in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony. Her groom, Chanpreet had looked dapper in a pale pink-coloured silk sherwani. His sherwani had featured embroidered motifs that are derived from 17th-century Mughal artworks. His attire was designed with resham embroidery, marodi ka kaam, sequins, and pearls. He had completed his outfit with a kurta-churidaar, a pale pink-hued turban, a brown-coloured vintage stole along with a pair of black leather jootis.
As we all know, a traditional Hindu wedding stretches for three days because of the pre-wedding rituals. At Ashna's sangeet ceremony, the bride had looked extremely pretty in an orange-coloured lehenga choli, which had white-coloured zardosi embroidery all over it. She had completed her look with a gold choker, chain earrings, and gold bangles. Ashna had also shared some droolworthy pictures from her mehendi and pre-wedding rituals on her IG handle.
