The K-pop industry is like any other showbiz in the world. From the outside it looks all glam and glitter, an ideal place to be in, but only people who are associated with the industry know about the dark reality of it. BTS’ leader, Kim Namjoon also shed some light on the hardest part of being in the K-pop industry.

He said that he's trying to be as honest as possible nowadays, which is rare given that Korean showbiz doesn't work that way. The BTS frontman also talked about how people in the industry are ‘so conscious’ of others and how they perceive others based on preference bias. He further added:

"I also try to let stuff out, and I'm getting better at it, but the hardest part is the K-pop industry's atmosphere. It's kind of sad to admit this, but people are so conscious of others, and many see only what they want. But I've done this for 10-11 years now. I think it's the right direction to move, where people like me, with some power, are a bit more honest. It's a time when more honesty is celebrated.”
