Cameron Young and Kelsey Dalition did not meet through golf. Their story goes back to when they were kids. Cameron used to play hockey on Kelsey’s father’s team. He also played alongside her brother. So they already knew each other long before college. Things changed when both of them went to Wake Forest University. That is where their friendship slowly turned into a relationship. It did not happen suddenly. It grew over time, as most real relationships do.

They got engaged in 2019. At that time, Cameron Young was still an amateur golfer and had not yet fully stepped into the professional world. Two years later, in 2021, they got married in a small and private ceremony. They chose to keep it simple and away from the public eye.

Kelsey Dalition is not from a golf background. She did not grow up around the sport, and even now, she is still learning about it. For Cameron Young, that is actually a good thing. In an interview with The Journal News, Cameron expressed it in his own words:

“I played hockey for her dad and with her brother. They’re not a golf family at all so Kelsey is kind of still learning the ropes. It’s actually great for me, because the last thing I want to do when I get home is answer questions like, ‘Why’d you pull a 9-iron on 16?’ That would make my head explode, so that’s been a blessing.”

What he means is that when he comes home, he does not want to think about every golf shot again. Kelsey gives him a break from that world. Their home life feels normal, not like an extension of the golf course.

Cameron Young and Kelsey Dalition have three children, and all of them are very young. Their first child, Henry, was born in 2022, not long after their wedding. At that time, Cameron was just starting his journey on the PGA Tour. Life was busy, and they were still settling in. In 2023, their second son, John, was born. Around the same time, they moved into their own home in Jupiter, Florida. Before that, they had been living with Cameron’s parents while adjusting to his early pro career. Later, their family grew again with the arrival of their daughter, Vivienne. Now, they have three kids under the age of four. That means their house is full of noise, energy, and constant activity. It is a very different life from the quiet focus of a golf course, but Cameron has shared that he enjoys that balance.

Cameron Young has often spoken about how important his family is to him, especially during tournaments. He said: “Honestly, they’ve been out with me the last couple weeks and it’s been such a nice change of pace to be with them on the road. I think it just keeps you a little fresher. You get off the course, and you can kind of forget about golf a little bit, which is really nice.” This shows how much his family helps him mentally. Golf can be stressful. One bad round can stay in your head for hours. But when he spends time with his wife and kids, he gets a break from that pressure. Kelsey Dalition also keeps a very low profile. She is not active on social media and does not share much about their personal life online. 

The couple prefers privacy. Still, she has been seen at a few events, like the Masters Par-3 Contest and the 2025 Genesis Invitational, supporting Cameron. They knew each other as kids, built their relationship slowly, and now have a young family together. While Cameron Young continues to chase big wins in golf, his life away from the course already feels complete.
