'Captain America: Brave New World' OTT Release: When And Where To Watch Anthony Mackie's Action Film

There is a big update for the fans of Captain America. The latest instalment of the series, Captain America: Brave New World, is now all set to be released on the online streaming platforms. The film was released in theatres across the globe on February 14, 2025, and left the fans on the edge of their seats. The film, which marks the fourth instalment in the franchise, created massive buzz and was screened for over three months in the movie halls. However, the superhero film is not yet done! It will now be available to be streamed at all hours from the comfort of your own home. 

Yes! Captain America: Brave New World is finally making its way to streaming platforms. The film, which also marks the second last film in the fifth phase of Marvel Cinematic Universe, will be available for Indian audiences on JioHotstar, starting May 28, 2025. As Anthony Mackie takes over the mantle of 'Steve Rogers' essayed by Chris Evans, the film will be a new chapter in the storyline of our beloved superhero. Sam Wilson will step into the shoes of the new 'Captain America' for the very first time, bringing a whole new turn to the saga.

Captain America: Brave New World's impressive global box office collection

Captain America: Brave New World started at the box office with a massive bang. The film earned a jaw-dropping 88.5 million US dollars on its opening day and grossed 415 million US dollars globally, according to a report by Deadline. Despite its struggle at the Indian box office against Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna's adventure drama, Chhaava, the superhero film, did exceptionally well.

Captain America: Brave New World is an action-packed movie that follows Sam Wilson's journey as the new 'Captain America'. Directed by Julius Onah, the film shows how the actor takes on the shield and weight of being the new saviour. During a press release prior to the release, Anthony Mackie elaborated on the significance of his role in Brave New World. He had shared that the movie was the building block for the next massive moment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He was quoted as saying:

"This movie is the building block for the next massive moment in the MCU, one that will lead directly to Avengers: Doomsday. Just as The First Avenger shaped the saga, Brave New World establishes connections to future films like Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts."

While the hype and excitement for phase five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the grand success of the conclusion of phase four on a high note with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, fans were left craving for more. However, the audience and critics were divided regarding Brave New World's story and its connection to other Marvel projects.
