Captain Vikram Batra's Twin, Vishal Pens A Note, Says '23 Saal Ho Gaye, Teri Baate Khatam Nai Hoti'

Captain Vikram Batra's Twin, Vishal Pens A Note, Says '23 Saal Ho Gaye, Teri Baate Khatam Nai Hoti'

At the young age of 24, Captain Vikram Batra achieved great success with his courage and determination in the Indian Army. He is a true legend, and his tales are still popular among every generation. The Kargil Hero had made a huge sacrifice for the country in the 1999 war. After his sacrifice, the late legend was also awarded The Param Veer Chakra, which is India's Highest Award for Valour. 

Captain Vikram Batra was born in a middle-class family. He was from Ghuggar village near Palampur of Himachal Pradesh. On July 7, 1999, we lost the gem in the Kargil war. Last year, a biopic, Shershah was released, which starred Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani.

On July 7, 2022, Captain Vikram Batra's twin brother, Vishal Batra took to his Instagram handle and shared a picture of him. Vishal remembered his brother and penned a heartbreaking note. He shared that the entire house still talks about him even after 23 years. Vishal also wrote that he misses his brother with every passing day. His caption can be read as:

"7th July 1999, 23 saal ho gaye hai, teri baate ghar par khatam hi nahi hoti. Magar is dil ka kya kare mere bhai Capt Vikram Batra, Yeh Dil Mange More. You are missed a lot more with every single day as we tread this journey of life. And am sure you are making the other world happier wherever you are, but surely even today, You are among us and would always be until our breath lasts. Love you my twin." 

A day ago, Vishal had also shared a picture of his brother, Vikram's last letter. The doting brother had revealed that he had never imagined that this would be their last communication from the battleground with his twin. Vishal had further added that his twin's last letter is the most treasured gift, he is having. He had written:

"5th July 1999, never ever thought or imagined that this would be the last communication I would ever have with my twin sibling coming in directly from the battleground and that mighty peak which now is renamed as BATRA TOP… and you continue to dominate that feature 4875 even today. While you are gone just physically my twin but you continue to live in our heart & mind. This letter of yours is the most treasured gift I have and you continue to inspire and held us high. You are missed a lot and not even a single day goes by without remembering you and talking about you. Love you brother until I last."

Captain Vikram Batra and the stories of his heroism will always live in our hearts!!
