Karwa Chauth has a special connection in the heart of every suhaagan. While, traditionally it is believed that a married woman keeps a fast for the long life of her husband, over time, people have changed their thinking and nowadays, even the husbands keep a fast for their wives. Though according to our traditions, it is a festival of women, the way a husband supports her throughout the day of Karwa Chauth, shows how much pure this bond is.
For the past few years, we have witnessed how religiously our Bollywood celebrities observe this festival. Moreover, pictures of the celebs, breaking their fast with their better halves in front of them, have swooned our hearts. Every year we witness a bunch of new couples, who celebrate Karwa Chauth for the first time after their wedding. Henceforth, this year is going to be no exception as it has rained shaadis in B-Town. Let's take a look at the newly married celeb brides, who will be celebrating their first Karwa Chauth as a married woman.
One of the most popular hosts of Indian television, Aditya Narayan is one lucky man, who found love in his Shaapit co-star, Shweta Agarwal. After dating each other for nearly ten years, the duo had tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony on December 1, 2020. Since then, the duo has been winning our hearts by sharing some adorable glimpses of their happy marital life. Therefore, this year Shweta is going to keep the Karwa Chauth ka vrat for her dearest hubby for the first time as his wife. While Aditya has a lot of female fan following, he is madly in love with his ladylove and that was proved when he had shared how he had asked Shweta's hand for marriage.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, he had said:
"I said I don't care how many people come, I don't care where we do it, just give me your daughter's hand for marriage and let's just do it. Fortunately, when we got married in December, things were much better. So now that this second wave has come in, I feel like we did the right thing. Now she is here, and I never feel alone anymore."
The ace choreographer, Punit J Pathak, is one of the most famous names in the Indian dance fraternity. His journey from being an aspiring dancer to one of the best choreographers has inspired tons of young dancers. However, keeping aside his humble nature or dancing skills, he had tied the nuptial knot with his longtime girlfriend, Nidhi Moony Singh, in an intimate wedding ceremony on December 11, 2020. Therefore, this is going to be Nidhi's first Karwa Chauth too and we cannot wait to catch a glimpse of this oh-so-cute couple, celebrating this festival for the first time.
For the uninitiated, Punit and Nidhi's love story had started on the sets of the popular dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and the two had exchanged their wedding rings in August 2020. A few days back, a video had gone viral over social media from one of the post-wedding rasams, in which the newly-married couple had to find the ring from a utensil filled with milk. In the video, we could see Punit J Pathak and Nidhi Moony sitting on a dining table, holding hands with their eyes closed. It is generally said that the person, who finds the ring, rules the household after the marriage. In a very sweet gesture, Punit had handed over the ring to his wife despite having found it before her.
One of the most successful and popular Bollywood actors, Varun Dhawan had broken millions of hearts, when he got married to his childhood sweetheart, Natasha Dalal, on January 24, 2021. The actor had opted for an intimate wedding ceremony and had donned an ivory sherwani, while his then-fashion designer girlfriend, Natasha Dalal had worn a matching lehenga of the same colour.
A few hours after the wedding, Varun had shared the first picture from the same on his IG handle and had captioned it as:
''Life long love just became official."
In 2020, though Natasha had kept the fast to observe Karwa Chauth for her then-boyfriend, Varun Dhawan, this is going to be her first Karwa Chauth as a suhaagan. Last year, she was spotted at Sunita Kapoor's Karwa Chauth party and was clicked by paparazzi. She had looked gorgeous in a red ensemble and had preferred to keep her look subtle with a pair of earrings and red bangles. Natasha had arrived at Sunita's residence with her mother-in-law, Karuna Dhawan. After seeing Natasha stun in her red outfit last year, we cannot wait to see how she decks up herself this year as it would be her first Karwa Chauth after marriage.

Therefore, this year will mark Shilpa Rao's first Karwa Chauth after marriage and we believe that the singer would celebrate it in style. In an earlier interview with the Bombay Times, Shilpa had revealed, why she had opted for a low-key wedding and had stated:
''We kept it simple, decorated the house with flowers and my brother’s wife did my mehndi. We formally registered the wedding at around 5 pm, and all my friends and family members from across the world joined in on a video call to see the ceremony.''

May all puzzles find their missing pieces, may all hearts heal and may the miracle of love continue to unfold all around us #ThankYouPreeta #SunsetKeDiVaNe.”
Well, this year has brought a lot of new beginnings into Dia's life. It was not just her wedding to Vaibhav that had started a new chapter of her life, but she has also embraced motherhood this year. With the arrival of her son, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi, this talented actress is acing her role as a doting mommy, now. Anil Kapoor's younger daughter, Rhea Kapoor had tied the knot with her long-time girlfriend, Karan Boolani, on August 14, 2021. Therefore, this year would mark her first Karwa Chauth as a married woman. However, Rhea always believes in breaking stereotypes, and we had witnessed that on her wedding when she had broken the belief that a bride cannot wear white on her wedding by donning a white saree. Therefore, before Karwa Chauth 2021, the director announced that neither she nor her husband, Karan Boolani believe in observing the festival.
Taking to her IG stories, Rhea had made a post that could be read as:
''Hi. Happy Sunday. Respectfully please don't reach out to me for karva chauth gifting or collabs. It's not something Karan or I believe in. We respect other couples who partake and can even enjoy the festivities while they do. It's just not for me. Or us. So the last thing I want to do is promote something I don't believe in and don't really agree with the spirit it comes from. For now I feel like if we take care of ourselves and each other we should be good. I only write this because it seems random strangers feel the need to aggressively convince me that I'm being ‘silly’, ‘have to do it’, 'it's my first'. No, thank you. let's move on? If you read this thank you for giving a sh*t. I hope you enjoy your Sunday.”
After delighting his fans with glimpses of his engagement ceremony, Yeh Hain Mohabbatein fame, Abhishek Mallik had exchanged the wedding vows with his then-girlfriend, Suhani Chaudhari, on October 19, 2021.
