'Celebrity Masterchef' Unveils Rs. 31L Mystery Box, Tejasswi Tears-Up After Facing Harsh Criticism

Celebrity Masterchef has entered its third week, and the show is getting tougher with every passing task. Nonetheless, the more challenging and surprising the show gets for the contestants, the more intriguing it becomes for the viewers. While Chandan Prabhakar was evicted from the show last week, actress, Tejasswi Prakash is having a tough time on Celebrity Masterchef as she is currently ranked last on the show. Now, another promo has been released, which shows that things are unfortunately not getting any better for the actress. 

Celebrity Masterchef judges introduce Rs. 31 Lakh mystery box to the contestants 

The makers of Celebrity Masterchef shared a new promo for the show on social media. The clip shows that the judge's panel, which includes Chef Vikas Khanna, Chef Ranveer Brar, and Filmmaker, Farah Khan, will introduce a mystery box to the show. The judges reveal that the said box is worth Rs. 31 Lakhs and consists of ingredients ranging from Rs. 11,000 to Rs. 6.5 lakh. In the coming task, the contestants will not only be asked to use these expensive ingredients but also to incorporate gold into their dishes. 

Tejasswi Prakash broke down after judges criticised her dish

In the same promo, Tejasswi Prakash was seen having an emotional meltdown on the show. The clip showed that the contestants had prepared their respective dishes in accordance with the mystery box's ingredients. However, when Tejasswi presented her dish, the harsh feedback from the judges made her break down. In the promo, Tejasswi states that her dish's value is Rs. 2000. Nonetheless, filmmaker, Farah Khan is not satisfied with the dish and says that she wouldn't pay that much for it.

Celebrity Masterchef welcomes a new contestant

While things might not seem up and up for Tejasswi, her meltdown has stirred some debate on social media. However, the makers are prepared to stir the pot further as they will be giving the contestants another surprise. Another promo clip shared by the makers reveals that Actress, Ayesha Jhulka will be seen joining the show as a wildcard contestant. The actress stated:

"Cooking has been a part of my life since childhood, and I’ve always found joy in experimenting with flavours. Being on Celebrity Masterchef is a completely new challenge for me, and I’m excited to see how it unfolds!"

About Celebrity Masterchef

Celebrity Masterchef premiered on January 27, 2025. The judges panel for this year included Ranveer Brar, Farah Khan, and Vikas Khanna. While the show marks the return of Ranveer and Vikas, who are seasoned judges on Masterchef, the season also welcomes Farah Khan as she makes her debut in the culinary competition space. As for the contestants, the show features an exciting lineup, which includes Tejasswi Prakash, Archana Gautam, Dipika Kakar, Usha Nadkarni, Nikki Tamboli, Abhijeet Sawant, Rajiv Adatia, Kabita Singh, Faisal Shaikh, Chandan Prabhakar, and Gaurav Khanna.
