Was Celeste Rivas At D4vd's Hollywood Hills Home Before Death? Know What LAPD Found In Investigation

The mysterious death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas continues to keep Los Angeles hooked as investigators are trying to determine what happened to her before her death. It all began on September 8, 2025, when someone's remains were found in a Tesla registered to rising pop artist David Anthony Burke, better known as D4vd. After she was identified as Celeste, several online users discovered old photos and videos of the singer with a girl who resembled her. However, none of the claims was considered by the LAPD. Amid this, we have a new update in case which might set the record straight for everyone.

Was Celeste Rivas at D4vd's home before his death? 

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) executed a search warrant at D4vd's rental property last month, seizing multiple electronic devices and surveillance footage from the premises. Additionally, the homeowner, Malden Trifunovic, confirmed to the outlet that police collected all video from several exterior cameras installed around the home. They could use these recordings to find out if Celeste Rivas had ever visited the property before her tragic death.

Malden explained that although he had several security cameras in place, he purposely did not have access to the live feeds or recordings to maintain tenant privacy. Consequently, he did not see any of those. However, he has requested the authorities to share a copy of the search warrant and a list of the seized items from the LAPD, but has not yet received a response from them. The landlord also revealed that he has hired a private investigator to conduct an independent investigation into Celeste Rivas' death, though it is still in its early stages.

Is D4vd a suspect in the Celeste Rivas case? 

As of now, D4vd has not been named a suspect or a person of interest in the ongoing case. Some Law enforcement sources told The Los Angeles Times that the search of his home and electronic devices was a normal procedure to collect potential evidence. The singer's team confirmed that he has been cooperating with authorities throughout the investigation. According to people close to the artist, D4vd and Celeste appeared to be a couple at social gatherings, although many attendees believed the girl was 19 years old and a student at USC, this claim was later proven false.

Celeste Rivas' case and D4vd came under the spotlight on September 8, 2025, when police were called to a Hollywood parking lot after employees reported a strong odor coming from a towed Tesla. After the investigation, they found Celeste Rivas' dismembered remains inside the vehicle's trunk. Some nearby sources claimed that the Tesla had been parked on a nearby street for days before being towed. The Robbery-Homicide Division has since taken over the case, and detectives are working closely with the L.A. County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death, which will decide the future direction of the investigation.
