Celina Jaitly's Divorce Reason Revealed, Suffered Physical Abuse, Flew To India Leaving Children

Celina Jaitly is known for her role in films such as No Entry, Apna Sapna Money Money, Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, Golmaal Returns, and more. However, she left the industry after marrying her Austrian husband, Peter Haag. The couple was blessed with three children, but their marital world crumbled as Celina Jaitly filed a domestic violence case against Peter Haag.

Why did Celina Jaitly divorce her husband, Peter Haag?

As per a report in ANI, Celina Jaitly had filed a domestic violence case against her husband, Peter Haag. After which, she announced her divorce and her legal fight to get her children back. As per reports, Celina filed a complaint alleging severe physical, verbal, and financial abuse at the hands of her husband. She claimed that things worsened so much that she was forced to flee their home in Austria in the middle of the night and returned to India on October 11, 2025, leaving her three children behind. Not only this, Celina further alleged that Peter has blocked all her access to her children, and she needs to fight for their custody. 

Celina Jaitly demanded Rs. 10 lakh maintenance and Rs. 50 crore compensation 

Celina further claimed maintenance of Rs. 10 lakh from her estranged husband, Peter Haag. She also sought Rs. 50 crore compensation for loss of earnings due to alleged abuse. Celina further demanded Rs. 50 crore as additional compensation from him.

On November 25, 2025, Celina announced her divorce with a post on Instagram. She shared a picture of herself, dressed up in a floral saree and looking gorgeous as ever. Along with it, she penned a long note and mentioned that she is in the middle of a turbulent storm. She never imagined she would be fighting alone without any of her parents, brother, her children, or her husband, who promised to take care of her (hinting at her estranged husband, Peter Haag).

Celina mentioned that her priority currently remains to fight for her soldier brother, for her children's custody, and her dignity. She added that she has filed a domestic violence complaint and that her husband had abandoned her. She added that since her matter is in the law of the  court, she cannot further comment on the matter, but her legal representative can give all the official information. Celina added that the year is not going to break her, but she will reclaim everything that was taken away from her.

For the unversed, Celina Jaitly married Peter Haag in 2011. The estranged couple are parents to three children, Winston, Viraaj, and Arthur. It is worth mentioning that Celina has been through a difficult phase when she lost one of her babies during her second twin pregnancy, right after giving birth. And now, she is facing another blow as her marriage hit a rough patch in November 2025.

In an old interview with iDiva, Celina revealed that she met Peter Haag in Dubai when she was there for the store opening of the Indian fashion brand. Her family friend introduced Peter to him during a family gathering. She was quoted as saying:

"I met Peter for the first time in Dubai. I was there for the store opening of the Indian fashion brand I endorse (Jashn). I met Peter through a dear family friend. It was a family gathering at a wonderful lounge and Peter was also invited to it. There was an intense recognition in a part of me when I first saw Peter. Actually we did not speak anything to each other but I just knew from the moment he walked in that he was my husband even though we had never met before."
