It was on January 13, 2026, when a new account on X (previously Twitter) shared a post citing that Charleston White had been shot in Fort Worth, Texas, and was in critical condition. The news soon started making rounds online, and Charleston White got wind of the rumours as well. Offering a clear response to the rumours, the social media influencer took to his social media and shared a statement. He confirmed that he is okay, his statement being proof in and of itself that the rumour was bogus. Having said that, he still felt the need to let people know that he is still alive and well.

He also noted that he isn't even from Fort Worth, and he doesn't really understand where the rumour came from in the first place. Charleston White apparently got wind of the rumours and decided to clear things for himself. He hopped on life and was quoted as saying:

"Someone said I got shot in Fort Worth, but I don't even live in Fort Worth. I stay in Miami; I have been in Miami for years."

The random X account created a massive wave of confusion online, and seemingly achieved its goal, considering fans were actually concerned about White's safety. This has once again proved that there is a lot of misinformation out there, and it can be difficult to figure out what's real and what isn't. Now, the internet has reacted to Charleston White's clarification. Reacting to an X account sharing a clip of White's live, a fan said, "The internet is a crazy place for real!" Another penned, "Not sure why folk just like starting rumours like that! Superficial and super corny individuals out here!"
