Charu Asopa is experiencing the nine months of pregnancy journey for the first time and the gorgeous actress looked like a mermaid in her maternity shoot. Charu had tied the knot with Sushmita Sen’s brother, Rajeev Sen on June 16, 2019, in Goa as per Rajasthani and Bengali rituals. After a little rough patch in their lives, the couple is enjoying the blissful days of their first pregnancy together.
It was on May 21, 2021, when Charu Asopa had announced her pregnancy on her IG handle by sharing some gorgeous pictures. She had flaunted her baby bump in a beige-coloured dress and her pregnancy glow was unmissable. She had captioned the pictures as “Grateful, thankfull, blessed.”

A few minutes back, Charu Asopa shared a Reel on her IG handle from ‘behind-the-scenes’ of her maternity photoshoot. In the video, Charu can be seen looking like a mermaid in a lilac off-shoulder gown with frills on the hemline. Her 7 months baby bump and pregnancy glow was unmissable in the video. She captioned it as “Photo Shoot by @anish_sonakshi.photography.” She also shared a Vlog on her YouTube channel of her maternity photoshoot, where she rocked some gorgeous gowns!
On August 23, 2021, Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen had shared glimpses from her baby shower ceremony which had taken place in their new home. For the baby shower, Charu had looked gorgeous in an orange and red coloured bandhani lehenga style saree. She had accessorised her look with floral jewellery that had included a maang teeka, bracelet, and neckpiece. On the other hand, Rajeev had donned a golden coloured sherwani.

On her Instagram handle, Charu had also shared some stunning pictures from her baby shower, where her sister-in-law, Sushmita Sen, was seen performing her nanad duties. The former Miss Universe had rocked a lovely pink salwar suit. Along with the pictures, Charu had written, "Some baby shower rituals pictures" in the caption.
This wasn’t the first time when Charu Asopa Sen had celebrated her baby shower. On August 8, 2021, she had shared a video on her YouTube channel, where she had shared glimpses of her mother-in-law, Subhra Sen's 70th birthday preparations. During the same, Charu had got a surprise baby shower. She had shared glimpses of the beautiful decorations of balloons with 'it's a girl' and 'it's a boy' written on them. But it was Charu's baby shower cake that was simply unmissable. Charu could also be seen posing with Rajeev, who had hugged her and had caressed her baby bump.
In an interview with The Times of India, Charu had spoken about the surreal feeling when she had heard the heartbeat of her baby for the first time. Talking about the magical moment, Charu had stated, “The moment I got goosebumps was when I did my first sonography in 6th week. I still get goosebumps when I recall hearing my baby’s heartbeat for the first time. Oh my god, it was magical, unbelievable. That’s the first time I realised that I have another human inside me. It’s a very different feeling and can’t be described in words.”
Charu Asopa is due in November 2021.
