Rajani Jain, a.k.a Chatori Rajani, is one of social media's most popular food influencers. She is known for sharing a vegetarian twist to popular recipes from around the world, like Sushi, Veg Ramen, Sizzlers and more. Her daily videos of tiffin recipes for her husband and son used to start with a popular tagline 'Aaj mere husband ke lunch box me kya hai', which helped Rajani gain more than 600K followers on Instagram. Rajani's videos used to often feature her husband and son, but recently, fans were left surprised when the food influencer announced that her 16-year-old son, Taran Jain, passed away.
Rajani Jain, aka Chatori Rajani and her husband, Sangeet Jain, took to their Instagram handles on February 18, 2025, and revealed that their 16-year-old son, Taran Jain, suddenly passed away. The post shared to announce the sad news revealed that he died in a road accident, leaving her followers in shock. For those unaware, Taran was studying in class 11th and was reportedly coming back from tuition when the incident occurred. Her note read:
"With a shattered heart, we share the unbearable news that our beloved gem, Taran Jain, has passed away in a road accident."

The couple shared another post on Taran's demise a while ago and mentioned that his 'Shok Sabha' will be held on Wednesday, February 19, at Terapanth Bhawan in Delhi's Chattarpur. Meanwhile, Taran, who used to occasionally help his mother shoot videos and taste her food, was last seen in Rajani's reel on February 5, 2025. Chatori Rajani was admired by her followers for being full of life, was left heartbroken over the incident.
Chatori Rajani's fans were well-versed with her son, Taran Jain. Consequently, fans couldn't process the news of his sudden demise, and a few wondered if the account had been hacked. However, everyone expressed their shock and extended their condolences to Rajani Jain. One fan wrote, "What are you saying?? This is very shocking!! I am so sorry for your loss." Another netizen penned, "Oh my god! I can't believe this. Life is so uncertain, and May Almighty grant you the courage to bear this great loss. This is so unfortunate."

A few hours before his demise, Taran Jain re-shared a satirical post about difficult studies on his Instagram account. His post read, "Will I pass 11th grade, or will I pass away." Consequently, after his demise, the post went viral, and a few fans began speculating if the 16-year-old committed suicide. But, Chatori Rajani herself cleared the air on these rumours and penned:
"All kids posted the negative story. My son was not suicidal, and he had an accident."
