Cheryl Hines Breaks Silence On Husband, RFK Jr.'s Rumoured Affair, Blames Journalist, Olivia Nuzzi

Actress Cheryl Hines is leading the headlines as she opened up about the rumours of her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, with New York Magazine reporter, Olivia Nuzzi. She not only stood by her husband but also shut down the rumours by taking an indirect dig at the journalist in question, calling it propaganda.

For the unversed, in 2024, RFK Jr was reported to be having an affair with journalist, Olivia Nuzzi. After their digital affair made headlines, Nuzzi lost her job at New York Magazine. In an upcoming episode of The Katie Miller Podcast, Hines addressed her husband, RFK Jr’s digital relationship and took a sharp dig at journalist, Olivia Nuzzi. Talking about the same, she said:

“I think you always have to consider the source, right? So that’s where I start. And then it ends with a conversation with Bobby.”

In the same conversation, Cheryl also stated that Nuzzi’s disclosure about her affair with the 71-year-old Kennedy was just a rumour which she never took seriously. The actress also stated that it was a scene of mayhem that occurred during the presidential campaign. In her words:

“Bobby had been running for president and it was a — an exhausting year-and-a-half of headlines and rumors and articles and chaos. And at that time, I thought ‘OK, this is more chaos and more rumors.’ And, um, it was a lot.”

Kennedy ran as an independent candidate, but later suspended his campaign and endorsed Donald Trump in August 2024. After a few weeks, Nuzzi revealed her affair with Kennedy as she wrote in a statement to The New York Times:

“Some communication between myself and a former reporting subject turned personal. The relationship was never physical but should have been disclosed to prevent the appearance of a conflict.”

Kennedy’s spokesperson at that time denied his involvement with Olivia. It was also reported that Kennedy talked about his affair with Olivia to his friends and also revealed receiving intimate pictures from her. In the latest podcast, Cheryl questioned Olivia’s motives behind her tall claims, revealed she hardly knows the journalist, and called the reports of an affair with Kennedy baseless.
