The officers posted at the Malviyanagar police station had come, started off the investigation, and according to an ANI report, suicide was confirmed. Jeet took his life at his house by hanging a rope from the window grill of his bedroom located on the first floor. The statement was given by ACP BJ Chaudhari of Rajkot (South).
Jeet Pabari, the brother-in-law of Cheteshwar Pujara was married since a year. His marriage was short-lived as his untimely demise took place. The alleged incident of his suicide took place a year after his ex-fiancee had filed a rape complaint against him back in 2024. Reportedly, his mental health was hugely affected.

According to a report by the Financial Express, Jeet Pabari was 30 when he passed away. He had an import-export business and took his life at their family bungalow. It is located on Kalavad Road in Malaviya Nagar in Rajkot, Gujarat. ACP Chaudhari shared that his family had found Jeet's body in his room at 9 a.m. He was immediately taken to Wockhardt Hospital, but the doctors had declared him dead on arrival. A post-mortem was done at the Rajkot Civil Hospital, and the body was handed to the family. The ACP added:
“The police brought the body to the government hospital for a post-mortem. The body was then handed over to the family. No motive has yet been identified."

Jeet Pabari's ex-fiancee, back in 2024, had filed an FIR and accused him of getting her into a sexual relationship under the pretext of marriage. When an official inquiry had started, the coincidental dates of his ex-fiancée filing a complaint and Jeet taking his life a year later on the same date determined his mental stress levels.

Jeet Rasikbhai Pabari was reportedly under a lot of stress and his ex fiancee alleged of being abused by him even after the engagement. She claimed that Jeet, without any notice, had abruptly put an end to their relationship. A case since November 26, 2024, was registered with the Malviya Nagar Police Station by Jeet's ex-fiancée.
