Television actress, Chhavi Mittal recently went through breast cancer surgery, and the mother of two has shown her bravest side through the most challenging phase of her life. From maintaining a calm environment in the hospital by cracking witty jokes to filming dance videos, Chhavi had overcome cancer like a real-life superhero. Now, the actress has shown her post-surgery scar and opened up about how people cringe at it.
On April 29, 2022, Chhavi and her doting hubby, Mohit Hussein had celebrated their 17th marriage anniversary in the hospital. Taking to her IG handle, Chhavi had posted a cutesy video of them cutting a chocolate cake in the presence of their daughter, Areeza. Alongside it, she had penned:
"This has actually turned out to be the best anniversary ever!"

On June 13, 2022, Chhavi Mittal took to her IG handle and posted a series of stunning pictures in a mustard yellow-hued backless dress. She flaunted her post-breast cancer surgery scar and posed elegantly for the lens. Alongside the pictures, Chhavi wrote a lengthy note about how people get nervous after seeing her scar. An excerpt from her note can be read as:
“Scars. You can see the ones on the body.. but you’ll never see the ones etched on the bearer’s soul. Yesterday when I found the courage to flaunt this scar… there were some who flinched at the sight of it. I say, if the mere sight of it makes you flinch, imagine what I felt when it was given to me!”

Further in her note, the actress mentioned that for her, a man is never a complete man if he is not brave enough to appreciate the effort a woman went through to save her assets. She wrote:
“But in my opinion, a man is not a complete man if he has the nerve to look down and admire a woman’s assets but is not brave enough to appreciate the effort she went through to save those assets.”

Talking about her post-surgery experience, Chhavi revealed that some people even suggested a laser treatment to hide the scar. However, Chhavi thinks doing laser would be tampering with the evidence of her tough fight with cancer. In her words:
“Some have also asked me if I’ll remove these scars with a laser or some such and I say never! They remind me of the fight I fought and the victory I achieved. Why would I ever want to hide these battle scars! That would be tampering with evidence! Proud to be a #cancersurvivor.”
Chhavi is indeed an inspiration for cancer survivors!
