Chinki and Minki were born in December 1998, in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in a middle-class Hindu family. The sister duo completed their studies at the Mount Abu Senior Secondary Public School in New Delhi. Surabhi and Samriddhi started picking up interest in acting at the age of 10, when they performed in various plays and theatres in their school.

Reportedly, the sister-duo earned their Bachelor's Degree from the College of Vocational Studies, and then, they went on to pursue higher studies at Symbiosis Skills and the Open University in Pune. If the reports are to be believed, Chinki and Minki also worked in a private firm at the beginning of their careers, which they eventually left after finding their true calling for acting, modelling and content creation.

Chinki and Minki rose to fame with their appearance on the Kapil Sharma Show back in 2019. The duo grabbed the attention as Kapil Sharma's neighbours on the show and won hearts with their performance on the song, Piya Piya O Piya. Surabhi and Samriddhi's energetic banter and comic timing were instantly liked by the audience. They have also been famous on TikTok, but over the course of time, the duo shifted to Instagram and grabbed attention with their unique content. Chinki and Minki were also seen in College Romance and Hero: Gayab Mode On. In 2022, the sister-duo hosted a show named Twinterview, wherein they interviewed several celebrities.
