Chinmayi Sripada Strongly Reacts To The Trolls For Calling Her Husband A Puppet, 'He Is An Alpha..'

Chinmayi Sripada is widely known for her soulful voice and has predominantly worked in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi films. She became an overnight sensation with the song, Oru Deivam Thantha Poovae from Mani Ratnam’s 2002 film, Kannathil Muthamittal. Coming to her personal front, the Indian playback singer is married to actor-director, Rahul Ravindran. A while ago, Chinmayi appreciated her husband, Rahul, through a heartfelt post on Twitter. She also strongly reacted to a troll who called her husband a 'puppet'.

Rahul Ravindran recently made headlines with the film, The Girlfriend. For the unversed, the romantic drama starring Rashmika Mandhana was directed by Ravi. A while ago, Ravi’s wife, Chinmayi Sripada, took to her X handle (formerly Twitter) and shared an appreciation note for him. She mentioned how Ravi made his directorial debut with a Telugu film, Chi La Sow. With this work, the actor-director won the National Award for Best Original Screenplay. Chinmayi wrote:

"Who’d have thunk that a boy will learn a new language well into his late 20s, write his debut directorial eventually in Telugu, winning his first National award for best Screenplaywright amongst giants in the field. And now, in the best films of 2025. Proud of this man. Always."

Soon after Chinmayi appreciated her husband for his impressive work on X, a user trolled him and wrote, "He is actually a puppet dancing to all your tunes!" Chinmayi was quick enough to give a befitting reply to the troll. She wrote:

"He is an alpha and not an incel prick, who uses his brains, reads and doesn't dance to anyone’s tunes. If you play stupid games you will get stupid results. Dont screw around and find out the hard way."

Chinmayi Sripada tied the knot on May 5, 2014, with actor-director, Rahul Ravindran. The couple had a traditional wedding ceremony. The couple was blessed with twins, a daughter named Driptah and their son, Shravas. However, her pregnancy garnered a lot of attention as the Indian playback singer chose to keep her life low-key. Some reports claimed that she welcomed her twins through surrogacy. It was on June 21, 2022, that Chinmayi shared the good news with the world. Later, on October 18, 2022, the singer also shared a snap where she was seen flaunting her baby bump.

However, it was Chinmayi’s befitting reply to trolls that made headlines. She quashed the rumours surrounding welcoming her twins through surrogacy. She highlighted that her near and dear ones knew that she didn’t post any pictures during her pregnancy, only to protect her. Chimayi added that she will be extremely private about her personal life. Further in the note, Chinmayi revealed that she only chanted a bhajan during her C-section. She wrote:

"I’m absolutely loving these people who are DM-ing me asking if I had twins through a surrogate just because I didn’t post photos of me being pregnant. Only those who were in my innermost circle knew because I was protecting myself. I was and will always be extremely guarded about my personal life, my family, and my friends circle. Photos of our kids won’t be on our socials either for a long while. And if you need to know, I actually sang a bhajan during the caesarean as our twins entered the world. Get a grip of that more on this later."
