Chiranjeevi Wants Ram Charan To Have A Boy To 'Continue Legacy', 'Scared He Might Have A Girl Again'

Chiranjeevi is known as the 'megastar' in the Telugu film Industry. He is one of the most influential actors in the Indian film industry, and he has major commercial successes to his credit. Apart from his professional feat, the actor's family is renowned in the South Indian film Industry and his son, Ram Charan, is also tagged as a 'superstar'. Fans love the father-son banter between the two actors, but Chiranjeevi's recent comment about his son sparked outrage. At a recent event, the superstar expressed his desire to have a grandson for the sake of his legacy, which the fans have not taken well. 

Chiranjeevi reveals he wants Ram Charan to have a son

Ram Charan is married to Upasana Konidela, and the couple were blessed with a daughter, Klin Kaara, in June 2023. Recently, Chiranjeevi graced the Brahma Anandam pre-release event as the chief guest and made a shocking revelation. During his interaction with the audience, Chiranjeevi shared that he is surrounded by granddaughters at his home that often makes him feel like a warden at a ladies' hostel. In his words: 

"When I'm at home, it doesn't feel like I'm surrounded by my granddaughters; it feels like I'm a ladies' hostel warden, surrounded by ladies all around."

Apart from joking about having multiple granddaughters, the Khaidi No.150 actor mentioned that he wants his son, Ram Charan, to become a father again. At the same time, he wants the RRR actor to have a son who can take their family's legacy forward. In his statement, the mega star emphasised that he is scared at the thought of having another granddaughter. Chiranjeevi explained: 

"I keep wishing and telling (Ram) Charan, at least this time, to have a boy so that our legacy continues, but his daughter is the apple of his eye... I'm scared that he might again have a girl."

Ram Charan shared that he didn't feel like going out after his daughter, Klin Kaara's birth 

Previously, Ram Charan sat down for an interview with the Times Of India and revealed that he felt a sense of responsibility towards his daughter for the first six months after the little one's birth. However, as Klin Kaara began recognising faces, he got more attached to his little princess and didn't want to leave her. Ram Charan said: 

"Now that Klin is interacting and recognising people, she misses me when I am not at home, the whole ball game changed. I feel left out when I am not around her, so I don't feel like going out."

Chiranjeevi's personal life 

Chiranjeevi married Surekha, the daughter of actor, Allu Ramalingaiah, in 1980. The couple become parents to two daughters, Sushmitha and Sreeja, and a son, Ram Charan. Sushmita is blessed with two daughters, Samara and Samhitha. At the same time, Sreeja is the mother of Navishka and Nivrati. Moreover, Chiranjeevi was the one to announce the birth of Ram Charan's daughter, Klin Kaara, on June 20, 2023.
