One of the most famous choreographers of all time, Ganesh Acharya needs no introduction, as he has been an integral part of the Hindi film industry for quite some time now. Ganesh Acharya has been working as a professional choreographer since the age of 21, and it was the film, Anaam (1992), with which he had started his choreography journey in Bollywood. Over the years, he has won numerous titles and awards for his amazing contribution to Indian cinema. Ganesh Acharya had also won the National Film Award for Best Choreography for his outstanding choreography in the song, Hawan Kund from the film, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
Over the decades, Ganesh Acharya has won everyone's hearts with his impressive dance numbers. With his choreography in movies like Bodyguard, Singham, ABCD, Bajirao Mastani, Agneepath, and the list goes on, Ganesh Acharya has proved the mettle of his dancing skills. No doubt, this is the reason why he is often regarded as one of the best choreographers in India.

According to a report in The Indian Express, on June 23, 2022, a Magistrate Court in Mumbai granted bail to ace choreographer, Ganesh Acharya in a sexual case filed against him back in February 2020. It was one of Ganesh Acharya's assistant choreographers, who had filed a complaint against him at the suburban Amboli police station. In her complaint, the assistant choreographer accused Ganesh Acharya of allegedly beating her and forcing her to watch porn. However, the choreographer had denied all the severe accusations of sexual harassment against him and was also never arrested during the case investigation. Now, in the end, Ganesh Acharya was granted bail in the sexual harassment case after the investigating team found no reliable evidence.
Earlier in an interview with India.com, Ganesh Acharya had opened up about the sexual harassment accusations that had been levied against him during the time when #MeToo allegations had rocked the entire film industry. The choreographer had explained how the false charges against him had a major impact on his family and how hard it was for them to deal with all the controversy around him. However, Ganesh Acharya had lauded his wife, Vidhi, and their daughter, Soundarya, who had stood beside him throughout the entire phase. Recalling the same, he had said:
"Dekhiye ye kya hai na, mere dost bolte hai ki Ganesh agar naam kamana hai to ye sab tackle to karna hi padega. Lekin meri wife, meri beti, meri maa, ye sab mere saath me hi the. Mere paas rahe or mere saath khade rahe. Mai ekdum sachai ke sath khada raha or aaj aap logo ke samne hu. Jo bhi cheezein jo chal rahi hai, aap jitna bhi acha karne ki soch lo, kuchh log use galat bana hi denge.Mujhe koi farq nahi padta meri family mere sath hai."

Going further in the interview, when Ganesh Acharya was asked whether the sexual harassment accusations had affected his professional career or not. Answering this, Ganesh Acharya had revealed that the entire industry was extremely kind towards him. The ace choreographer had also added that he had kept on getting new work in the industry. Recalling the same, Ganesh Acharya had also recalled the time when one of his friends from the industry had given him important advice about fame that reads "With fame, defamation happens". He had said:
"Nahi kuchh bhi nahi. Sabko pata hai ki Ganesh Acharya kaisa hai or uska kaam kaisa hai. Or jo kuchh bhi ho raha hai, sabko pta hai ki isme kitni sachai hai. Isliye sab mere sath hai or mai continuously kaam kar raha hu. Jin ladies ne mere upar allegations lagaye, maine unse kabhi baat karne ki koshish nahi ki or court me case chal raha hai. Baat unse ki jati hai jinhe aap jaante ho, unn ladies ko to mai janta bhi nhi."
On the professional front, Ganesh Acharya will reportedly be next seen in the film, Dehati Disco.
