Chunky Panday is one such actor, who is known for his perfect comic timing in Bollywood. He is the first name that comes to everyone’s minds, speaking about a personality with a jovial sense of humour and a frequent love for pranks. However, despite such an engaging nature, life hadn’t been quite smooth-sailing for the actor. Coming from a completely different background, Chunky had to endure a lot of struggles before following his passion in acting and making it big in Bollywood.
In a recent interaction with TVF for the promotion of his upcoming mini-series, Industry, Chunky Panday remembered his own struggling days right at the beginning of his career. He mentioned that back in the days, the time was different and even to meet any filmmaker meant that the candidate had to wait endlessly in queues outside their office. Shedding light on the first interactions he had with any filmmaker, Chunky said:

“My struggling days were very different, there were no casting directors or digital media, so we had to wait in long queues in front of producers' offices. Getting to meet them and show them albums with photographs, we also had to dance in front of them and enact scenes from popular films.”

Moving on with his revelations, Chunky then opened up about an unheard facet of his career. He shared that there was a time when he worked as a part-time car dealer, while hustling between various probable scopes of work. Adding how he would often drive around in different car, Chunky added:
“It was not easy, but it was fun. Well, those were my struggling days. I was a part-time hustler and part-time car dealer, so I used to get the chance to drive those cars around. Every day, I was in a different car, visiting producers' offices.”
Towards the concluding segment of his interview, Chunky Panday talked about his recent project, where he has worked with a number of new generation actors. Speaking about his comfortability and bonding, the senior star elucidated understanding their nuanced way of approach towards the craft. Moreover, he credited his co-stars for motivating him to evolve with the passage of time.
