Vivek Mashru was one of the popular actors in the late 90s and early 2000s. He is known for his stint in the TV shows, C.I.D. (1998), Akkad Bakkad Bambey Bo (2005) and Fight Club: Members Only (2006). However, his role as 'Inspector Vivek' in the famous Sony TV show, C.I.D. from January 1998 to October 2018, is still etched in millions of hearts. Now, Vivek's photos are once again going viral on social media, and fans are hailing the actor for his performance in C.I.D.
Talking about his stint in the popular serial, C.I.D, Vivek Mashru was seen alongside Shivaji Satam (in the role of 'ACP Pradyuman'), Dayanand Shetty (in the role of 'Senior. Inspector Daya'), Aditya Srivastava (in the role of 'Senior. Inspector Abhijeet') Dinesh Phadnis, Manav Gohil, Surendra Pal, Smita Bhansal, Kavita Kaushik, Rajeev Khandelwal, and many others in the key roles. And undoubtedly, this famous show, with one after the other police procedural crime thrillers, became the most-watched TV show then. However, despite being part of such a long-running serial, Vivek took a huge gap from his acting career and is pursuing something else in his life right now.

A Twitter user took to their official handle and shared a throwback picture of the actor, Vivek Mashru. Alongside the picture, the Twitter user wrote, "If you know him, your childhood was awesome." Soon, Vivek's picture went viral on social media, and the actor too, got nostalgic with his glimpse. Afterwards, Vivek, who has been staying away from the limelight for a very long time, retweeted the photo with a caption to thank his massive fanbase. Vivek's caption can be read as:
"Thank you so much for your kindness, love, and appreciation for whatever little I have done. It means a lot to me and it is deeply appreciated! Infinite gratitude and love, always."
As soon as Vivek retweeted the post, his massive fanbase started pouring the comment section by praising the actor for his startling acting sense. While some users praised his acting skills, some called him their 'childhood crush'. One user commented, "Thank you for the wonderful memories sir." Despite getting immense love from his fanbase, Vivek Mashru took a long break from the entertainment industry. He is currently pursuing a profession in teaching. According to his LinkedIn profile, the former actor works as a professor-cum-director at CMR University in Bengaluru. He has been part of a Department of Common Core Curriculum at CMR University in Bengaluru since October 2021.
