'Cocktail 2' Cast Fees, Who's Taking Home The Biggest Paycheck Among The Three Leads In The Sequel?

Cocktail 2 has finally locked its release date on June 19, 2026. The look of the characters was revealed on March 13, 2026, and the first look of the film will be disclosed in the upcoming week on March 18, 2026. The main leads of the upcoming sequel, which include Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna, also shared the looks of their characters through their respective social media handles.

Cocktail 2 cast fees revealed, along with the highest-paid actor

Cocktail 2 will feature a completely different star cast this time. Although the makers have not confirmed anything from their side, the total budget of the film is reported to be around Rs. 80 crores. The entire amount is being spent on marketing and promotions. The production budget is reportedly Rs. 75 crores, followed by the prints and advertising cost of Rs. 5 crores. On the other hand, the fees of the lead cast members are now grabbing a lot of attention.

Multiple online reports have claimed that Shahid Kapoor is receiving the highest fees among the three leads. The actor will reportedly be paid Rs. 35 crores. Furthermore, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna’s fees are reported to be the same, with both of them getting Rs. 15 crores each. The film also marks the second collaboration between Shahid and Kriti after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which was released in 2024. The romantic comedy was produced by Maddock Films, which is also producing Cocktail 2.

Cocktail 2 will focus on the same theme as the first film

A synopsis shared by the District app says that Cocktail 2 will continue to explore the themes of love, friendship, and emotional complexities. The movie will take the viewers into a vibrant and modern world with new characters navigating romance, clashes, and the ups and downs of relationships. According to Zoom Entertainment, the leaked storyline, which is unverified, says that Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna’s characters are in love, and Kriti Sanon develops feelings for the latter.

The first film, Cocktail, was released in 2012. It featured Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. Saif even served as a producer of the film with Dinesh Vijan, Illuminati Films, and Maddock Films. The film’s music remains a chartbuster, and the performances received praise. The movie collected around Rs. 126 crores at the box office. Homi Adajania, who directed the first film, has returned as the director for Cocktail 2.

Cocktail 2 filming locations and other details revealed

The filming for Cocktail 2 started in 2025. The majority of the movie has been shot in Italy. Furthermore, certain portions of the movie have also been shot in India, with the team specifically filming in Delhi and some other states of North India. The locations included South Delhi, Sector 58 Mall in Gurugram, and Chhatarpur, as stated by Zoom TV Entertainment.

Notably, Cocktail 2 will mark the return of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon to the big screen after O’Romeo and Tere Ishk Mein. The movie also marks Rashmika Mandanna’s first film after her marriage to Vijay Deverakonda. For the unversed, the upcoming first look of the film is being released only in theatres on March 19. Dhurandhar: The Revenge is arriving on the same day, and anyone who has booked their tickets for Ranveer Singh’s film will get the chance to see the first look of Cocktail 2 on the big screen.
