A week since the July 16, 2025, concert in Boston left the entire world shocked after the tech company, Astronomer CEO, Andy Byron, was caught having an affair with HR head, Kristin Cabot. The plot twist came after the duo was captured on the 'kiss cam' during a Coldplay concert. Now, days later, a company representative has confirmed that Kristin Cabot has resigned from the DataOps company. The rep revealed that Kristin is no longer with Astronomer and has resigned from her position as the HR head. In a conversation with NBC News, they were quoted as saying:

"I can confirm that Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer. She has resigned."

Kristin Cabot's resignation comes days after Andy Byron resigned from his position as the CEO

Five days prior to Kristin Cabot's resignation, Andy Byron also resigned from his position. For the unversed, the two were placed on leave by Astronomer after the Coldplay fiasco became global news. Astronomer shared a statement on July 19, 2025, on their X handle stating that Andy had turned in his resignation. They revealed that Pete DeJoy will continue as the interim CEO, while the board looks for a new CEO. The statement could be read as:

"Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO."

What happened at the Coldplay concert?

This statement from the account was made after the incident at the Coldplay concert on July 16, 2025. The show was held in Boston, and several clips from it went viral. Among those videos were two people who were unintentionally called out by the band's frontman, Chris Martin. The musician called out a man and woman who were seen on the 'kiss cam', embracing each other.

However, as soon as the camera focused on them, they quickly moved away and hid their faces. The duo was later identified as Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot. Nonetheless, it was Chris Martin's statement which further fueled the speculations, as he stated that the couple was either having an affair or was too shy. Soon after, Andy and Kristin started receiving flak on social media for alleged 'cheating' and 'affair'. Chris Martin was quoted as saying:

"Oh, look at these two... either they're having an affair or they're very shy."
