All eyes are on India as it took justice for the killing of innocent lives in the Pahalgam attack with Operation Sindoor, which was India's fight against terrorism. It was India's counter-attack in response to the terrorist attack, which led to the death of 26 innocent lives. The name signifies a greater meaning, and it shows that 'Sindoor' is the pride of Hindu women, and if someone tries to destroy it, they can become Maa Chandi and Maa Kali. To top it up, two lady officials showed the power of India by briefing the media about Operation Sindoor, leaving every Indian supremely proud of them.
One of the two women officers was Sofiya Qureshi, Belagavi's daughter-in-law. Let us inform you that she is married to Colonel Tajuddin Bagewadi, who is a native of Konnur village in Gokak taluk district. Sofiya hails from Vadodara in the Gujarat district and is serving in the Jammu region. On the other hand, her husband, Tajuddin Bagewadi is in the Indian Army in the Jhansi region.
Colonel Sofiya met Tajuddin while serving in Jhansi and they tied the knot in 2015 in Vadodara. However, it is Sofiya's in-laws, who are super proud on her, and her achievements in the Indian army. Her father-in-law, Ghouse Sab Bagewadi told the media that it was a matter of great pride for him and also for Konnur as their daughter-in-law achieved a milestone by being the face of Operation Sindoor.
Talking to the media persons at his home, where the name plate reads, 'Major Tajuddin Bagewadi, Indian Army', Mr. Ghouse. Sab Bagewadi revealed that while the couple often visit the village during family functions and festivals, this year, they could not come as they didn't got any leave.
The father-in-law further talked about the places the couple have served including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and other places. He added that he told the couple to come for Bakrid this year. He shared that he was informed about his daughter-in-law's courage of being the face of Operation Sindoor, after friends and relatives congratulated him. Recalling the moment, he said:

"In fact, I was not aware of the development. After my friends and relatives started congratulating me, I called my elder son who serves in the Fire Brigade. He told me what my daughter-in-law has done. It felt like I won a lottery. Subsequently, there were many calls and now, people have been coming with garlands to greet me."
For the unversed, sindoor is a red, orange-red or maroon-hued powder, which Hindu women put on their hairline as a mark of being married. While modern India thinks of it as a symbol forced upon them, sometimes it is termed as orthodox. In reality, it is much more than that. For those who don't know, Lord Hanuman had put the entire sindoor over his body for the long life of his 'Prabhu Ram' after seeing Mata Janki put sindoor in her hairline. Sindoor is derived from the Sanskrit word Sindura. Operation Sindoor signifies the loss of 26 men and the pain felt by their families in the Pahalgam attack. It is an answer to the terrorists that 'sindoor' is a mark of immense pride and courage. It cannot be easily wiped by the hands of terror.
We are proud of Sofiya Qureshi and her achievements!
