So, for instance, if you’re bothered about a zit or a blemish you can give it a spot treatment, and conceal it with a concealer and blend it with a finger. Besides, use primers and highlighters to hide blemishes and fine lines than applying foundation.
You’ve got to know your skin type before you buy a foundation or any other makeup essential. If yours is an oily skin, then watch out for products that are non-comedogenic, oil-free and oil absorbing. These should give you a matte finish. For dry skin type, lookout for creamy foundation that keeps your face hydrated. For sensitive skins fragrance-free, dye-free and preservatives-free foundations work best.

Always buy a foundation which matches your skin tone, i.e., around your neck lest the transition from face to jawline to neck is rather too alarming. If you’re in a shop, ask for a sample so that you can try it at home. And do make sure that you test the foundation on your jawline and not at the back of your hand.
If you apply foundation on a dry and flaky face, your dryness will be highlighted. So as part of skin care regime, make sure you exfoliate well and slather good amount of moisturiser on your face to even out your complexion before applying a foundation.

No way should you be doing this. The purpose of using concealer is to do the work that could not be done by foundation and hence, be used later. In fact, if you use concealer before foundation, you will not get that evened-out complexion you were yearning for. So, apply concealer after foundation application.
If you’re applying the foundation on your entire face then make sure you are also using it on your neck. If you don’t do this, anyone can make out the difference because your neck is anyway lighter than face colour. To achieve a uniform look, apply first on face going down to your jawline and then the neck.
