Be it an engagement or a wedding, for a couple to set the theme of such an intimate event to something close to their hearts, never gets old; rather, it leaves everyone with new ideas to come up with.
And the same happened as a couple recently celebrated their engagement in a Ratatouille-themed party, which is all things unique and, to be very honest, astonishing. Recently, Brittany Maturan and Bryan Rubio got engaged at a Ratatouille-themed party, and the glimpses have been surfacing on social media, which are all adorable. So, let's dig in to have a look!
Brittany Maturan, who is a Disney lifestyle content creator, recently got engaged to Bryan Rubio. The couple first crossed paths during their elementary school days, and then crossed paths in 2016 at the gym. The couple started as friends first and then became romantically linked to each other a year later in 2017. The duo has been together for several years, and it was last year, when, during their trip to Japan, Rubio proposed to Brittany. The couple is set to get married in June 2027 at Falkner Winery in Temecula, California. Speaking about the same to PEOPLE, Brittany Maturan said:
"In late December last year, we went on our dream trip to Japan — where he swore he wasn't going to propose — mainly to visit Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. He had actually hired a secret photographer and proposed at Osaka Castle during what I thought was just a nice walk."
Brittany Maturan (28) and Bryan Rubio (27) planned their engagement, which is straight out of the 2007 animated Disney-Pixar movie Ratatouille. The engagement party was hosted back in March 2026, and a total of 75 people attended the event.
Recently, speaking to PEOPLE, Brittany revealed that their engagement party's theme wasn't revealed to anyone, and when the guests got to know about the same, they were extremely excited. The outdoor consisted of a Persian bistro vibe with white chairs and checkered red tablecloths. From hand-drawn cookies, to pizza and signature drink, everything just screamed straight out of a Pixar reel. Not only was the food themed, but the couple even decided to bring napkins and cups that would go with the theme perfectly.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Brittany Maturan revealed that when she and her fiancé sat down to plan their engagement party, they wanted to make it look more like a 'couple' and how the theme would reflect them as a couple rather than a traditional party.
The duo went through several ideas and looked for many on TikTok and Pinterest, but nothing actually screamed Brittany and Bryan, or couldn't reflect them as a couple. Brittany and Bryan were known as a Disney couple to their friends and family members, and they wanted to do something around that tag only, but not too much of the 'Disney' code they wanted. It was Brittany who was behind the plan, and it was her mom who helped it come to reality. Speaking more about the plan, Brittany Maturan said:
"When we started thinking of what we wanted our engagement party to look like, we really wanted to focus on us as a couple and how we could celebrate our relationship. The typical themes we were seeing on Pinterest or TikTok just didn't scream 'Brittany and Bryan,' and didn't seem authentic to us and our relationship. We were torn because we've always been known as the 'Disney couple' to our family and friends, but didn't want something too Disney."
