The parents of five children are reportedly going to get married this summer. It was in 2021 when Ronaldo said that he and Georgina were waiting for that special 'click' when they would want to get married, maybe even within a month.

As per a report published in Jornal da Madeira, it has recently been confirmed that the wedding of Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez will take place this summer in the Funchal Cathedral, known as Se Catedral de Nossa Senhora da Assuncao. According to reports, the Funchal Cathedral of Madeira was established in 1514 and is the oldest religious building on Madeira.

The cathedral has Gothic influences, and its ceiling is one of its attractions. To mention, if Ronaldo gets married at this old place, it will mark another significance, as reports are claiming that the cathedral is located 2 miles away from the hospital where he was born, and it's also not far from the Nacional da Madeira field, where he began his journey as a football player.

It was on Georgina Rodriguez's docuseries when Ronaldo was asked about his wedding plans with his girlfriend. To this, Ronaldo added that they are sure that they want to get married and also know that it will happen. Ronaldo further added that Georgina knows this as well, that whenever they feel the 'click', they will surely get married. By this 'click', Ronaldo meant everything being aligned. Ronaldo, in 2021, mentioned that whenever they feel that it's the right time, they would get married, be it in years or months to come. He said:

“I always tell her: ‘When we get that click.’ Like everything with our life, and she knows what I'm talking about. It could be in a year, or it could be in six months, or it could be in a month.”

Georgina Rodriguez was proposed to by the love of her life, Ronaldo, in August 2025. Earlier, speculations were rife about the duo being engaged.
