D4vd Officially A Suspect In Celeste Rivas' Murder, What Connects Him To The Killing Of The Teen?

D4vd, the emerging singer who had found fame with the song, Romantic Homicide, has found himself in the centre of an actual homicide case involving a 15-year-old girl named Celeste Rivas. After months of investigations, clues by private investigators and speculations by online sleuths, D4vd has been officially identified as a suspect in the killing of Celeste Rivas. Amid this, here's a look at all the clues found to date linking the victim to the singer. 

D4vd is named as a suspect in the murder of Celeste Rivas 

TMZ reported that months after finding a heavily decomposed and dismembered body in D4vd's Tesla on September 8, 2025, the singer was identified as a suspect. The body was identified as that of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, who had been missing from home. So, an insider source revealed to the portal that D4vd, whose real name is David Anothony Burke, was being considered as the possible killer of Celeste.

As the body was at an advanced stage of decomposition, it was hard to pinpoint the cause of death. However, her death has been ruled a homicide. Several reports also suggest that there are speculations among the authorities that, given the way the body was dismembered, the killer might have had help from someone else. But whether the police have another suspect other than D4vd isn't clear yet. Additionally, the authorities told TMZ they weren't planning to make an arrest soon. Amid this, many clues have been uncovered linking D4vd to the crime. 

Celeste Rivas' dead body was found in D4vd's Tesla

While D4vd was performing in Minneapolis as part of his tour, his Tesla was parked at the Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles. After complaints of a foul smell emanating from the car, the police were called. Inside the trunk, a discomposed and dismembered body was found. After investigations and an autopsy, the deceased was found to be Celeste Rivas, and she was declared dead a day before her 15th birthday on September 8, 2025. However, she had been deceased for a long time. 

Although her body was found in D4vd's car, the singer wasn't blamed initially. Since the Tesla had sat abandoned in a parking lot for days, many had believed that it was stolen by the actual killer. However, as more connections emerged between the two after investigations, D4vd is being seen as someone who had a more direct role in Celeste's death. It is also important to note that the dead body found in the Tesla being dismembered was initially reported by TMZ, but there is no confirmation on this. 

Celeste Rivas was dating someone named David, as per her mother 

Photos of Celeste and D4vd were uncovered after investigations. Moreover, she was reported to be missing by her family since April 2024, when the victim was just 13. After the identity of the body was found, Celeste's mother revealed that her daughter had a boyfriend named David. Several reports also suggest that D4vd was seen near her house before she went missing. 

D4vd and Celeste Rivas' matching tattoos and his unreleased song with her name 

The photos of D4vd and Celeste have allegedly established that the two knew each other. However, their matching 'Shh' tattoos and his unreleased song featuring her name fuel speculation that the 20-year-old singer might have been romantically involved with the teen. One of D4vd's leaked songs from 2023 was named Celeste_Demo unfin. A part of its lyrics said:

“Oh, Celeste / The girl with my name tattooed on her chest. Smell her on my clothes like cigarettes / I hear her voice each time I take a breath / I’m obsessed. Oh, Celeste / Afraid you’ll only love me when undressed / But you look so damn gorgeous in that dress.”
