Rumour mills were abuzz with reports of Dalljiet’s ex-husband, Shaleen Bhanot also taking part in Bigg Boss 13. There were speculations about Dalljiet quitting the show if Shaleen gets on board. In an interview with the Bombay Times, Dalljiet had spoken about the same and had said, “I don’t think I am in such a strong position that I can decide someone’s future in the industry. I honestly don’t know where these rumours are coming from. I don’t know why Shaleen has not taken up the show or if he was offered or not. I have no hands it. Whether he decides to do the show it is his individual choice. We both are in a happy and content space of our lives and are extremely cordial with each other. I wish him all the best in life.”
It was Dalljiet Kaur, whose entry in the show made everyone a little emotional as she had to leave behind her 6-year-old son, Jaydon to enter the Bigg Boss house. Salman welcomed Dalljiet’s son, Jaydon on stage and the mother-son duo performed together. The actress was teary-eyed before entering the house as she was leaving her son with her friends and family. It was an emotional moment for both the mother and son.
In an interview with The Times of India, the actress had talked about her excitement to be a part of the show and had said, "I am excited, nervous and going through every feeling right now. I remember the conversation that we had 4 years ago of doing Bigg Boss as it would give me financial independence and see it is happening. Dalljiet Kaur, who is a single mother, said that her single status is not going to affect her equation with other housemates. The Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega actress had stated that she is very excited to be a part of the show. Speaking about her strategy, Dalljiet had revealed, “I have done so much work that my claim to fame cannot be my personal life. I feel that people want to see the real me and I am excited about this opportunity. It would have been impossible for me to take up this show two years ago, because I was searching for stability back then. I was without work for a year-and-a-half, and it was a luxury I couldn’t afford. It’s scary being the only earning member in the house. However, now that I have got a hold over my life once again, I hope that people see my inner strength. I will miss my son, but that has got nothing to do with the fact that I am a single mother. Every mother would miss her child." (Recommended Read: Devoleena Bhattacharjee Says She Is Not Looking For Love, Will Remain Single In Bigg Boss House)
Dalljiet had a very disturbing relationship with her ex-husband, Shaleen Bhanot. The actress, who went through an abusive marriage for five years, spoke about her relationship status and had said, "Sadly, I am very much single and I wish I had a better story to tell you. I am too busy with work to go on that route right now. I would definitely like to give marriage another chance, but only with the right man and at the right time. I have a child and his future is most important for me. Having said that, everything is so beautiful in my life now that I don’t feel I am missing out on anything."
The Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon actress, who is enjoying her single status, also shared that she is not doing Bigg Boss to find a husband and is happy in her current phase of life. In an interview with The Times of India, Dalljiet had said, “In a house like Bigg Boss you can’t predict if you will find love. But as I have told you in my earlier interviews I am open to find love. At the same time, I don’t want to do a crash course in love as I am in the Bigg Boss house. I am not in a hurry. My son is my responsibility now and he comes first when I take any decision. So a lot depends on finding the right partner, I am not entering Bigg Boss to find a future husband for me.”
