DWTS Judge, Carrie Ann Inaba Apologises To Danielle Fishel For Commenting On Her Body, 'I Can Say..'

The latest episode of the show, Dancing With the Stars, has caught a lot of attention after the elimination of Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov. However, Danielle’s recent comment about the judge, Carrie Ann Inaba, raised many eyebrows. The judge made a comment about Danielle’s body, and Danielle later revealed that the criticism stuck with her.

For the unversed, Carrie, while heaping praises on Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov’s Halloween Night performance, told Danielle to use the space as she has a ‘tiny’ body. But before stepping into the ballroom on Nov. 4, Danielle shared that Carrie's criticism had stuck with her. Talking about the same, Danielle said:

“I am a tiny little woman, but she's big on the inside—more powerful—so I need to unleash her more often. It doesn't come naturally to be flailing my 5-foot-1 body around the floor."

Soon, Carrie took a moment and revealed that she never wanted to offend Danielle with her comment and apologised to the ballroom dancer for her thoughts. Explaining what she meant, Carrie said:

“I would like to apologize for my words if they hurt you at all because I didn't mean that at all. You are small but you do pack a punch, and that's why I can say it, because I believe in you, OK?"

Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov were eliminated from Dancing With The Stars 2025's Week 8 episode

Episode 8 of DWTS ended with Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov being eliminated. Their elimination was decided by combining the judges' scores and the live audience's votes, which fell short of saving them. Despite earning a respectable 34 out of 40 from the judges, the pair couldn't secure enough viewer votes to stay in the competition. 

Danielle Fishel talked about having a rough week ahead of DWTS Rock and Roll night

Danielle Fishel had a little bit of a hard time gearing up for her latest performance on Dancing With the Stars, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night. Before her performance, Daniel opened up about having a rough week after a visit to the surgeon and how her preparation had sparked a lot of negative self-talk. In her words:

“We are telling the story about how difficult it can be to be a woman in society where we are somehow always too much and also never enough. No matter what choice you make, whether you work inside the home or outside the home. There’s no winning, and having been in the public eye and on TV since I was 10 years old, I have been under a microscope, and my choices have been scrutinized. I’ve made terrible mistakes. And I’m resistant to it because it’s triggering so many things in me.”
