Danielle Wyatt-Hodge is an English cricketing all-rounder known for her explosive batting, electric fielding, and infectious personality on and off the field. Danielle was born in Stoke-on-Trent, Wyatt Hodge started her career playing for Staffordshire. Subsequently, she moved down to Nottinghamshire in 2013 and then to Sussex in 2016. She has represented England across various formats, starred in the Women's Premier League, and most recently, in June 2024, tied the knot with her long-time partner, Georgie Hodge.
Back in April 2014, England all-rounder Danielle Wyatt-Hodge tweeted, "Kholi marry me!!!". A lighthearted joke with a minor spelling error which went viral on social media. Her phone rang off the hook, teammates teased her relentlessly, and Indian cricket fans were smitten. She was all over the Indian media, and even Virat Kohli took notice of her tweet.
Wyatt herself reflected on the moment with a smile and told India Today that it was obviously a joke, she was in awe of Virat's inning and wanted to show her appreciation. The tweet was made after Kohli's sensational 72 off 44 in the 2014 T20 World Cup semi-final, and Wyatt's playful message struck a chord with cricket lovers worldwide. She was shocked at how viral the tweet got and said that the media tried to reach her father after the tweet.
The former Indian captain saw the funny side of the tweet and even gifted Danielle a bat when they met. It was all fun, and there was no awkward tension between the two. Virat even slipped in a piece of advice to the English player, telling her people take things like this seriously and she needs to be careful.

In 2017, when Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli got married, they were congratulated by many of their friends, colleagues, and fans alike. Among all the messages was one from Danielle. She took to Twitter and wished the couple well, once again reminding fans of her tweet.
Years later, On 10 June 2024, Danielle wed her long-time partner, Georgie Hodge, a prominent football agent and head of women's football at CAA Base. The couple had been together since 2019, and got engaged in 2023 in South Africa, exchanged vows at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London. Their all-white celebration was intimate, heartfelt, and pictures were widely shared. Danni later posted her radiant wedding moments on Instagram, and captioned it as '22.08.24 Mrs & Mrs Wyatt-Hodge'.
Danielle's tweet persisted in public memory, especially when Wyatt joined Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 2024 Women's Premier League. Her old "Kholi marry me" moment resurfaced, and she shared that it helped spark camaraderie and friendly banter within the squad.
