Danish Pandor On Akshaye Khanna's Viral Dhurandhar Dance Being Improvised, 'Everyone Was Stunned..'

Director, Aditya Dhar's film, Dhurandhar, has been capturing headlines ever since its release on December 5, 2025. Fans had been eagerly waiting to watch Ranveer Singh play the role of 'Hamza Ali Mazari', a man who has rather deceiving eyes. Apart from Ranveer's performance in the spy action thriller, another character that stood out the most to the audience was none other than Akshaye Khanna's portrayal of 'Rehman Dakait'. What especially captured viewers' hearts was his electrifying entry sequence. However, his fellow actor in the film, Danish Pandor, recently revealed that it was entirely improvised by Akshaye.

Whether you have caught Dhurandhar's release in theatres on December 5, 2025, or not, as long as you have been active on social media, you probably couldn't have missed the viral clip of Akshaye Khanna's dancing entry to Flipperachi's Fa9la. For those unversed, Akshaye Khanna plays the character of 'Rehman Dakait,' a powerful Pakistani crime lord and politician. After watching his dance sequence, many fans are comparing the current hype around it to Bobby Deol's viral Jamal Kudu moment in Animal in 2023.  

Seeing the immense buzz around Akshaye's dancing entry, his co-star and on-screen brother in the film, Danish Pandor, made an astonishing revelation about the same. Danish, who plays the character of 'Uzair Baloch' in Dhurandhar, told Filmygyan that Akshaye's viral entry wasn't part of their script. As if viewers didn't love his dance enough, this piece of information gave them another reason to hype it up. In Danish's exact words from the interview: 

“We shot this in Leh Ladakh, and Vijay Ganguly was choreographing the whole song. We all heard the track and were stunned by how amazing it was. So, Aditya sir was explaining the shot to Akshaye sir. The whole choreography was happening, and in the middle of that, Akshaye sir asked Aditya, ‘Can I dance?’ Aditya sir said, ‘Do whatever you like.’” 

He further revealed that during the take, when they were all supposed to enter, Akshaye looked at everyone dancing and started doing the same on his own. This left everyone stunned as there was no choreography for him. Claiming that Akshaye was terrific during the scene, he stated: 

“Then there’s a take, and we all enter, and he looks at everyone dancing, and he starts dancing on his own. There’s no choreography for him. Everyone was stunned, like kya kar diya yeh inhone (what has he done). People started applauding so much after the shot; the frames were looking so good. He did it all on his own. He is terrific.”

In the scene, Akshaye Khanna is dressed in a crisp black suit. As he steps out of a car, he greets the crowd with a composed salam. During the scene, we can also see Ranveer and Danish following him with other men. After watching a group of dancers perform a traditional routine, Akshaye shocks everyone by unexpectedly joining them in a few steps before taking his seat. 

Akshaye's dance sequence probably wouldn't have been as popular if it weren't for the perfect song choice, hip-hop artist, Flipperachi's Fa9la. For those unaware, the song had previously been released a year earlier, in 2024; however, it only went viral after Dhurandhar's release. The protagonist of the film, Ranveer Singh, himself boosted the song's hype by sharing the clip to his official Instagram account, captioning it:

“So here's ‘THAT’ track from the movie. FLIPPERACHI.”
