Infused with splendor was the latest bridal collection of ace- Bollywood designer Manish Malhotra at PCJ Delhi Couture Week 2012. The extravagant, exquisite collection was showcased in presence of many B- town celebrities, Page 3 circuit and designers. However, the main highlight of the show was the show stopper- Katrina Kaif.
The 28-year old actress looked drop-dead gorgeous walking the ramp for the designer. The Bollywood actress was seen wearing a heavily embellished Ivory-color bridal lehenga with a red-pink border along with choli and dupatta. The spectacular outfit dazzled with zari and Swarovski work and was looking as gorgeous as the actress herself.
After her bridal avatar on ramp, Katrina was asked about her marriage plans and wearing something similar on her wedding. For which the actress answered “I wouldn't be wearing this because it's very heavy. It weighs about 10 kilos.” As for the marriage “It happens when it happens." Designer Manish Malhotra was all praise for his showstopper saying, “a bride is beautiful, contemporary” thus Katrina Kaif was the ideal choice for the show.
The whole bridal collection was inspired from the classic Indian styles of 1960s, and 1970s. The colours were corals and pinks. The designer showcased 20 couture items dominated by extensively embroidery, applique work and floral techniques.
