Debina Bonnerjee has gone through a tough journey in order to embrace motherhood. However, with the arrival of her first child, Debina got lucky and gave birth to her second daughter in the same year. Recently, Debina talked about why she opted for IVF transfer and also revealed the cost of it. For the unversed, Debina gave birth to her first daughter, Lianna via IVF, in April 2022.
Talking about how she conceived Lianna, Debinna told ETimes that her doctors advised her to get IUI i.e. intrauterine insemination, wherein the fertile days are calculated and according to it, doctors give a few injections. In this process, a semen analysis of the husband is done. However, in her case, it was a failure.

Debina further added that the best option that worked for her was IVF (in vitro fertilisation). She also revealed that the cost of embryo transfer is Rs. 30,000. The mommy of two shared that she kept trying to get pregnant for five years and finally got blessed with Lianna. She was quoted as saying:
"Next, the best option was IVF. The cost of embryo transfer is Rs. 30,000, and it also depends on the hospital. I had an IVF conception. Initially, I was scared but not anymore. When people ask ‘Why IVF transfer’, I would say when something doesn’t happen over a period of time, I can’t waste time thinking why it is not happening. Rather I tried and after 5 years I was blessed with Lianna."
Earlier, in one of her YouTube Vlogs, Debina recalled the difficult time she had gone through while trying to get pregnant. She had also opened up on the reason why she wasn't getting pregnant and the numerous medical treatments she had undergone and the societal pressure she had faced. She had revealed:
"I visited doctors, normal gynecologists, IVF specialists to find out what problem I had. I had endometriosis. For that to be treated, I did whatever possible treatments were available. I did acupuncture – it is a therapy where they will remove all the toxins from your body."
