Debinna Bonnerjee Reveals How Theft Took Place At Their Home, 'He Switched Off The Location And..'

Gurmeet Choudhary and Debinna Bonnerjee are the most loved couples on Indian Television who rose to fame with their shows like Ramayana, Nach Baliye 6 and more. The duo have briefly stepped back from TV shows and showcase the daily happenings from their life on their vlog. Recently, the couple left everyone in shock after they revealed in an update that a theft took place in their otherwise secure society in broad daylight. It happened when the duo's three-year-old daughters, Lianna and Divisha, were at home. However, Gurmeet and Debina were grateful that their daughters were safe. Now, in a recent interview, Debinna opened up about how the events unfolded at their home and shared a cautionary story for fans.

Debinna Bonnerjee reveals that theft took place at their home despite tight security 

Debinna Bonnerjee recently shared a new vlog where she recounted how a theft took place at their new home in recent daylight. She explained that when they moved into their new home recently, they were taken back when they hired a new househelp who vanished within hours after taking her mom's phone and earpods. Debinna shared that the worker was recommended by someone who brought valid ID proof. They had an instinct that something didn't seem right, but he started working. Later, when the actress went out, her mother called her to inform her that the worker had left and he might have stolen her phone.

Debinna quickly tried to call her mother's number and someone picked up the call. However, he talked in a different language and she thought she might have dialed the wrong number. Consequently, the Chidya Ghar actress again tried to call the number, but it was switched off. She sensed something wasn't right and called another number when a person spoke in the same way. She rushed back home and checked her CCTV at home, where her suspicions about the person were confirmed. Sharing how her husband, Gurmeet, decided to call the person who had referred him to them, she said:

"He was told firmly—either get the phone back or we'll involve the police. The guy said his friend had returned and he would return the phone and Bluetooth. That pressure worked."

Debinna explained that the most shocking thing in the whole incident was how the thief managed to completely change the phone to surpass their building's strict security. She revealed that everyone who entered or exited their building had to pass through a strict security system. The people and their things were checked properly, but neither of the guards doubted or stopped him. Overall, this incident left them with a lot of lessons. Sharing how he managed to bypass the security, Debinna said:

"He wiped the entire phone, threw out the SIM, and even put his photo on the wallpaper. Kitna smart thinking hai. He switched off the location and confidently walked out. It was scary to see how prepared and smart he was."
