Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are soon going to be parents and are counting the days to welcome their first child into the world. It was on February 29, 2024, that the couple announced their good news on social media. For the unversed, Ranveer and Deepika got married back on November 14, 2018, in a highly secured destination wedding in Lake Como, Italy. Now, they are all set to hop on to the next chapter of their lives.
Recently, a Reddit user shared a screengrab of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's baby announcement post. The photo featured cute drawings of baby stuff, including a bib, shoes, hat, button and clothes, in the hues of pink and blue. Sharing the picture, the user pointed out that there is a possibility that Deepika and Ranveer are expecting twins, as they used blue and pink colours in the post. However, the user also added that the duo might have done so because they were unsure about the gender of their would-be baby.

The post gave rise to the speculations about Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh having twins. Soon, a lot of netizens started reacting to it and mentioned that the actress might give birth to twins. Citing the reason for their guesses, the netizens mentioned that Deepika's baby bump was visible at the BAFTA Awards event, which only happens in the later months of pregnancy. Meanwhile, a section of users also claimed that Ranveer's family has a history of having twins.
Not just Ranveer Singh but even Deepika Padukone often talked about having babies on various occasions. Before getting married to Ranveer Singh, during a brand event in 2017, Deepika expressed her desire to have kids. When the actress was asked about her lifetime desire, she gave the sweetest response and said:
“The one thing I have got to do before I die is definitely have lots of babies. That’s what I want to do.”

A few years back, Ranveer Singh hosted an Instagram live session with his fans from London. However, it was Deepika's comment, who was probably sitting right next to her husband, that caught our attention. Taking to the session, the actress wrote, "Hi Daddie", with a wave, a heart, and a baby emoji. To this, Ranveer quickly replied, "Hi baby!" While Deepika raised speculations about her pregnancy, Arjun Kapoor further added more spark to the same with his comment and penned:
"Baba bhabhi is gonna give u one."
