Now, a source close to Deepika Padukone and her husband, Ranveer Singh, revealed to the magazine, The Week, that the actress is pregnant with her first child. The source further mentioned that Deepika is in her second trimester. The news came soon after there were speculations that Deepika is reportedly pregnant as the way she was reportedly seen hiding her midriff while clad in the Sabyasachi saree at the 77th British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) red carpet. However, there is no such official confirmation from Deepika or Ranveer's side.

Soon after the reports surfaced on the media, a Reddit user shared screenshots of those on the discussion platform. Following this, many other netizens started reacting to it. Many of the social media users, who were extremely elated to hear the news, started dropping good wishes for Deepika and Ranveer. On the other hand, many others were irked by the speculations regarding Deepika's pregnancy and claimed that privacy should be maintained even in the case of celebrities in such matters.

For the BAFTA Film Awards at London's Royal Festival Hall, Deepika stunned in a shimmery saree from the ace designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She styled her saree with a strapless blouse and kept her look chic with subtle makeup, including soft kohl-rimmed smokey eyes, nude pink lipstick and blushed and highlighted cheeks. In addition, a messy bun completed her look. Moreover, she opted for a dainty pair of earrings that added the oomph factor to her look.
